How do people feel about the IG and CB?
Compared to the older weapons.

I think they are visually neat and fun to use once in awhile, but the mandatory maintenance buffs make me not want to main them.

I get to auto pilot playing after awhile, and don't like having to worry about it my buff falling off when I zone out in casual play with friends.

IG is a pretty fun weapon if you don't spam mounting, and maintaining buffs is pretty much never an issue. The kinsect upgrade is the fuckest thing I've seen in 4U, though, complete garbage. Also IG on any other style than Guild in Gen is kinda shit.

CB is really fun and was my go-to weapon in 4U even though I barely knew how to GP just because those Ultra AEDs are so fun to pull off. It's impossible to balance, though, either it's smooth as butter like in 4U and broken to all hell or feels gutted like in Gen/XX.

Eh, i think the Gen CB still feels pretty good. The choppy part of the weapon is still there in both games-- needing to charge up. The fighting style is just different. Being able to counter into your most powerful attack is obviously better but the guard points are still good.

I think LS would feel a lot better to play if they kept the 4U moveset and spirit gauge mechanics (+30% red, no refills) if they lowered the MVs across the board by 1 or 2 points and made all attacks faster by a handful of frames.

4U longsword might be the worst iteration of all. Red aura returns to nothing and you can't refresh it.

FU had just the spirit bar and non-nerfed motion values. Tri had infinite spirit. In P3rd and 3U you were at least able to refresh red. And for Gen, even if you ignore styles and arts, being able to refresh red puts it way ahead of 4U LS.

I honestly prefer the non-refreshable red, especially since they buffed how red worked hard with the flat damage increase. Also made the weapon a hell of a lot more fun to play since you weaved in fade slash + spirit attack combos and then spammed finishers when you hit red, made it feel more tactical and less of just 'get to red quickly and stay there' while you're still doing diddly. LS damage is embarassing in earlier games.

Terrible hitzones everywhere except his head, lots of attacks that force you to just sit and wait for him to finish (AoE shock, instant tailspin).
He also has a tendency to just chill on the ceiling and lob lightning at you which is very easily avoidable. Since the majority of weapons in the game are blademaster fights with Khezu tend to drag on for way longer than they need to.

Not adding music doesn't make Khezu a threat, it turns it into a bigger borefest. If some heartpounding, threatening music was added in, or, hell, anything other than just silence it might add some interest but no.

Actually, though it does fit quite thematically. Gogmazios gets a big, imposing theme since it's big and imposing. Zinny gets a fast paced theme since it's a very quick monster. Tigrex gets a frantic, scary theme since it's a hungry son of a bitch. Khezu gets nothing because it's a boring bottom of the garbage bin monster. Huh, now I see it.

You know what I want in MH? Dynamic music tracks that raise/lower in intensity with rage/exhaustion/frenzy. The music tracks in Payday 2 were maybe my favourite part of that game back when I played it and I think the concept could be applied for a similar effect in MH as well.

Only really in hunts with 2 or 3 gunners. The Longsword simply isn't built for group hunts. It doesn't attack fast enough to be a reliable status weapon, all of its mechanics revolve around extracting more DPS out of the weapon but even then it still gets out-dps'ed by other weapon types, and it doesn't play nice with other blademasters (especially lance and gunlance) because the LS is required to use his big sweeping horizontal slashes to build his damage output. If he wants to share the monster and only use vertical slashes he'll never build aura and thus will always be locked at 70-80% of his potential damage.

Without a rework LS will forever be a weapon that performs better in solo hunts than in groups.

After playing blademaster for years, gunning was a breath of fresh air and I actually enjoy it infinitely more though the learning curve for me was very steep. Also I feel gs is actually a really easy weapon to master, but I just don't like it and the only reason it's not in the "don't play" category is because I'll get kicked on the spot if I don't use it for 140 quests.

Real time would be the intensity changing per hit it receives as the fight goes on. It's not even batch. It has nothing to do with the spectrum of time and real updates. It's tiered, as in segmented, and does not adjust per hit of damage dealt, only updating when thresholds have been released. Which is not real time.

That just means Capcom is spending a considerable amount of money for ads on MH:W on Youtube and other social media sites, moreso than Nintendo is spending for Odyssey or Sony for Spiderman. One thing is that people who get the trailer via share are gonna be less likely to go onto the video's webpage and like it or dislike it or whatever. At least, I think that's what's happening.
