no its not the way leagues works is like this. This is the balance philosophy behind league

Who wins a duel in LoL is decided by hte more skilled player.
the outcome of any duel is decided by multiple variables and rather or not the champion made us the thier targets counterplay.

This istn Dota where X hero beats Y hero 10/10 times at lategame. who wins is decided purely by mechanical prowess and game knowledge.

This design philosophy is why a 6 Item Gangplank still stands a chance against a 6 Item Fiora despite the latters clear advantage. Things like Catching Draven Axes, getting the wall condemn and pulling off a triple shuriken are what make or break duels.

If at any point there is a champion that defys this rule THAT champion is a problem. Yi sucks because hes a stat stick who is completely balanced around trivial aspects like crowd controls. not every champion in the game has access to hard crowd controls so its not FAIR to balance Yi around such trite.

Well sometimes that needs to happen, because the game isn't about dueling and 1 v 1s if theres a yi whose 10/1 you are never going to be able to stop him alone that basically goes for any champion, but if a yi is only 2/4 then you're not going to need the whole team to beat him. Like champions get really strong the game isn't really perfectly balanced in that when a champion starts getting kills you have to rely on your team to start helping kill him, even if it's not yi like caitlyn kills you 5 times bot, that laning phase is gonna be dicks, and we've all seen it you ping your jungler for help because thats just what happens or maybe your midlaner comes down for a gank because this game isn't all duels and 1 v 1s and 2 v 2s eventually you will need to rely on your team. If you lose lane I don't think it should come down too "damn he's so strong now we just lose because hes too fed" if there was no cc in the game that would always just happen because you can literally not stop whoever is fed it would suck if the whole game was dependant on that one guy but it doesn't have to be because in teamfights/ganking situations unless the game has been going 0-20 for your team you should be able to get rid of that really fed person with coordinating you don't even need the whole team a good annie burst+adc will probably just kill him, a lot of characters don't seem fair in peoples eyes, annie gets cc with any ability she wants and an aoe stun on a low cooldown with damage that persists even after she dies. Or Veigar sure yi gets crazy lategame but if you have a veiger he will literally delete him because his whole kit is about deleting one person every teamfight as the game progresses he scales infinitely
