Protectga and Shellga are good bets. Ruinga should also be a high priority. It's the single best skill for clearing trash stages and daily dungeons. Even very low level mages can insta-kill high level dailies with Ruinga using mediocre gear, and it's AOE, so couple that with a record materia that starts you with full ATB, and you can farm stuff that might normally murder you.

Yeah, Orbfest should always be a high priority for a newer player. Far better returns for your stamina investment than daily dungeons since you'll get a lot of drops as well as goodly amount of EXP and Gil. Tangentially related, Gil might seem useless and infinitely available now, but once you start honing 5* and 6* skills, reforging gear, etc, you'll start burning through it. Upgrading a 7* item to 8* costs 2.5 million, for example.

How the fuck does the sphere grid in FFX work? I'm still fairly early into the game, but I got a coupla questions:
1. Am I looking to obtain all the possible abilities on each character's respective sides of the grid?
2. Similarly, are all the stats nodes fair game?
3. And lastly, at which point am I able to go past the locks?

It is equips on one part. Most likely they have their dudes decked out in wicked TMRs.
On the other part, FFBE just has unit tiers. There are just better units than others. Top tier units will show exemplary power on their own, even the "chainer" units (who excel most ideally when paired with another copy of themselves, to deal outrageous quantities of damage in an elemental chain).

Well it's normal not to roll higher as you can't roll 6*s. But 5*s have a mere 1% occurrence rate, so not rolling them is quite usual unless you've been playing for quite awhile or rerolling.

Rikku NEEDS a healer, especially one that can heal lots of HP. Even multirikku needs this.

Reraise isn't some magic win button. It brings you back after the first enemy hit that killed you. This leaves you with, in all likelihood, several more hits to a now unbuffed unit. Reraises don't stack, so once it's dead it's dead this time.

Outright killing off your tank twice is pretty farfetched, even if you're unbuffed the second time, unless you triggered some gameover threshold. Also, healing wouldn't help in that scenario since they would be dead before you could heal.

Eventhough she hits alot, i had low chance of proccing counter attacks from cecil and counter heals from minfilia. Provoke and evade stuff on cecil is great here since he's tanking most of her stuff with light resist anyways. Her att/def debuff is weak enough to ignore but watch out for her Rune attack that procs a light imperil. Get that shit off you asap, and heal/buff up before her followup attack. She's a real bitch to handle if she just decides to focus all her attacks on one guy cecil didnt cover

Looks pretty good to me. Larsa BSB is basically Y'shtola's burst, but with astra/status blink swapped in to replace stoneskin bubbles on the initial cast. He is one of a few white mages that can wrath, so would definitely say that his relic alone not being a dupe for you makes the draw worth it. Armor synergy is always great, and you have a bonus instant medica in Arc's SSB2. Arc's robe has a boost to holy damage attached to the relic, too.

This anon knows what's up. Just gotta think of it like this: Penelo's USB is an upgraded Arc SSB2, which is an upgraded Minwu SSB. The progression went from instant medica (Minwu), to adding physical blink (Arc), to adding HP stock 2000 (Penelo). Sure it may not have last stand attached to it, but instant healing is insanely good.

Yes her light resist is buff is better but after enhancements it's only 20% better. CoD could be a nice choice if you need someone tankier since she comes with 50% light resist already and can still deal a decent chunk of damage with call of the void and man eater+.

Presumably, you're talking about BE JP? If so, Hero's Rime +2 is indeed the name of his game. The "drawback" is that to deploy his ridiculous buff and HP and MP regen, he can do no other actions, so he's a force multiplier for the rest of your party.

Even the animation of Ramza's BSB2 is really similar to Shout. And the SB gain on his Command 2 isn't bad.

I have both and while it's on a fight-by-fight basis, I find I use Vanille more. Asylum's bubble can be problematic in a fight with a lot of status effects (can't bop someone out of sleep/confuse) and you don't gain SB from being hit while the bubble's up. Can Wrath it, sure, but then you're either not bringing ProShellga on her and wasting a slot on another character on it, or you're not bringing Curaja/Ultra Cure and banking on nobody getting too badly hurt before you can pop the burst. Though I could see the logic if you had her wall as well.

Vanille's, meanwhile, is instant cast and boosts her MND for higher heals. And if you have a turn of leeway, her command 1 does decent damage for a healslut and reduces RES for your mages.

Incremental damage moves used to reset to 0 if you used a different action. Now they stay there permanently. So Zyrus can ramp up to 6.5x, pop off his LB, and then take advantage of the full power of those skills.
