So rethaz said they still want to add 20 cards every 2 months, but clarified that most of them (he said 75%) will be bronze.

I mean it's nice that they are working on the rarity distribution, but isn't that a bit too low? At least to me 20 cards per month doesn't feel like much if most of them are cheap bronzes anyway.

That's 3 bronzes per faction, a bit of neutral stuff and that's it. I'll probably have all cards as soon as open beta ends so I'll stop playing and only come back when new stuff releases.

And the funny thing is, I didn't even spend any money so far. The content roll out is basically nothing, 120 cards a year.

Since gwent won't have rotation for a veeeeery long time, releasing as much content as HS or Magic is excessive (Magic has more than 800 cards a year ffs). But at least twice the planned number (i.e. around 250 cards a year) would be much healthier. A card game dies withiut new content.

I'm working on an ST mulligan/move deck, and I can't decide on the last of my silvers. Right now I have Toruviel, Morenn, Ciaran, and Yaevinn, and I'm trying to decide if Ida Emean or Sheldon Skaggs gets the last slot. Ida's a mage of course, and has that 3-in-1 versatility, but Sheldon would synergize really well with the three Blue Mountain Commandos in my deck.

19, 22, 25 point tempo swing that also thins the deck reliably, in addition to never being a dead draw due to being able to discard from the hand with other SK cards.
golems on the other hand, a 9 point tempo swing, that also thins the deck unreliably, if it actually works, and never improves in point value as the rounds go by.

Ida is the worst faction mage and sheldon has been quite a bit more useful for me. You can get so much tempo with the BMCs. I added zoltan for that same reason. By comboing toruviel+aelirenn in there I can ensure 50 some odd points in as little as 3 turns.

Since when is 20 "just fine" for a gold card? Sure a lot of gold cards should bring that swing potentially, but they usually do it through synergies and effects. Regis can never be 20, unless he stumbles into some buffed up horseshit against NR that will happen in 1 game out of 100. Much complained about Tibor pre-patch had 25 power and gave the enemy a card, if we estimate average bronze to be 8-9 power, thats still only 16-17 power.

it's an interesting deck to pilot, since you have a lot more choices to make than the majority of the other decks on the ladder, and you rarely get fucked by bad hands since you can henselt out sergeants or reavers, depending on how your hand and game is going.
i do wonder if it's even necessary to have operator in the deck with the way sergeants work, making operator timing incredibly important to get the most points out of it.
triss butt is a questionable pick, never seem to draw her when she'd be ideal, but there isn't many other golds that'd be useful in the deck.

Fully rested and recuperated Geralt would probably beat Leo. It would be a difficult fight but Geralt is not just any witcher. He was certainly more skilled than Ciri when she killed Leo.

They both have excellent skills, and even if Leo is a little bit better, Geralt has his inhuman reflexes to compensate.

SK is definitely highly overpowered. But it isn't brainless.

The old SK was fucking brainless because all it did was put Morkvarg, a Ship and a Brokvar Hunter next to each other then heal them. Then rezz the hunter.

Current SK decks don't have that many brainless plays other than play bear on first round. Though again, that absolutely doesn't mean that SK isn't highly overpowered.

ideal hand is 3 sergeants, no commandos, 1 reaver, 1 reinforcement for operator, and octivist for turn one play.
so the mulligan is pretty simple, you blacklist commandos straight away and throw away or keep scouts based on the matchup.

for round 3, in an ideal scenerio, you'd have been able to mulligan away the reaver copy, and pull 3 reavers with henselts ability, for a huge swing, that will almost always close out games.

of course SK brainlets will outvalue you no matter combination you can pull off, and no matter how large of a card advantage you accrue, so you have to rely on them making multiple misplays in order to beat them.

honestly, the state of the game is pretty shit, and it really isn't even worth playing a deck like this, when all you're going to face is brain dead idiots netdecking SK, which require no planning or forethought to play.
