10 pelt points, if you like swash at all then max it right away.
High guard is fine at level 1 if you want to use it for the damage attributes, if you want to block everything and eat pain then max it to use with swash.
Langort and umbo thrust are fine at 1 each, you get the full effects at level 1, but if you want to invest into them go for it, it's just more damage.
Umbo blow and rim blow both get the most damage modifiers, from high guard and later from murmillo, if you don't find anything else you like then put your remaining points there.

As for corsair, I added a point to DWA, with your pistol/dagger it's a good skill to use if you ever have downtime with your skills.
Jolly roger has no reason to be past 2 unless you plan to use your pistol a lot, otherwise it's just small bonuses for archers and the attribute.
10 points left means you can either add to iron hook, jolly roger, or keel haul.
Haul only adds damage, hook adds time, and roger increases the bonus from fever.
Murm only needs 1 point in headbutt for the stun, it has the lowest damage scaling, maxed frenzy slash for the extra targets. Maxed evade thrust over scutum hit, higher damage with shorter cooldown, but one less overheat, your choice which you like better.

That Rapiers is only able to be gotten IF you manage to get +20 with no loss of potential first THEN you spam diamond anvils and all anvils must work since you only have 11 potential left from socketing.

Anything less means you can't reach +31

Meaning at 50% diamond anvil success rate you actually need to at least reach +25/26 first before spamming diamond anvils like a madman.

The sentence actually doesn't make full sense, although the initial point is something you can definitely glean from reading it. Pump all X stat is such a bullshit nofun way of building, there are so few characters that aren't. Dex's 'cap' being ping is bullshit that needs to be fixed, but considering they'd have to rewrite a large portion of auto attack code it's unlikely to happen ANYTIME soon. Stats not mattering after a certain amount of money is gained means purely having lots of CON kinda viable, but you have to get to that point first, and stats matter before you hit that point.

First of all a 5k weapon would be reduced to 3k not 2.5k because a weapon still has base damage of about 1k (usually more but whatever)

Second a full Str build gives around 900 atk or so
so why are you adding yourself 2000 atk in that scenario?

With full con and armor being still completely in full effect from anvils and trans you're not going to oneshot anyone with your full STR build but you will be oneshot by anyone without having that extra padding of HP from CON

Yes you can granted you have to go around the the mountain areas which are about 8~15 maps and most of them go through level 200 areas as well. The best way to get to Rukas is through doing the Septyni Glenn story which brings you to Gate Route which is also on the other side of the map to get the portal from the goddess that will bring you to Gateway of the Great King.

This is why people ask for warps now. Nobody really wants to do that Bramble forest story.

Once you reach Septyni Glen, you can ditch Saule's bitch ass and take the south road to Poslinkis Forest. Run through there to Dvasia Peak and head east to Gateway.

If you do decide to take up the story quest to open Gate Route, you can leave it unfinished once you hit up Sirdgela Forest and take the Passage of the Recluse up to Stele Road. From there you can pass Zachariel Crossroads and head to Rukas Plateau.

I feel like if anything, Vakarine statues were a mistake. There are too many of them, they're nonsensically placed anyways, and now people are used to just being able to go out to wherever they want instead of having to plan for a trip into the wilderness. Which is what Squires were supposed to enable, creating mini-town base camps in grinding zones for people to use.

Portals in RO were fine as a convenience since nearly all major cities were connected by low-mid-level paths that presented some minor danger to newly rolled characters but could essentially be highways for travelers otherwise.

And yeah I guess it doesn't help that 90% of the quest content and zone layout are fucked.

EQ is quite literally the clunkiest thing to be used in the game. I literally made a joke build Wiz3->Link2->Thaum3 on the reset event, full INT, etc etc, the damage was supar, the fact it broke chains and knocked up enemies was annoying, the fucking windup animation is abhorrent. It simply isn't a spell to be used in succession like most OH.

If they want it to be a damaging option, make it have a C3 attributes to make it so. Something like removing the knockup in favor of a simple knockdown that leaves them in place and don't break chains is a good start, coupled with something like Punish attribute where it turns into a 3/4 hits massive aoe attack would make it actually attractive to go Wiz3.

I hate chaplain for the same reason some love it. The fact that 10 seconds before a fight you spend spamming all your buffs before you even hit anything and then all you do is hit stuff. There's no real scaling with monster cards. You're limited to SPR and SPR alone and SPR does nothing for almost any of the later classes.

For Chaplains sake I hope the R9 introduces entire sets with like +400 SPR in them. Otherwise your class will become irrelevant because blessings don't scale with your weapon while everyone elses damage will scale with their respective gears.

Inquis has some decent damage but the issue is in ET, when you're making a build to do it, inquis is decent overall but it doesn't have the consistent AoE damage that you kinda want for ET, like sure it has god smash that is a good nuke and wheel kills a lot of stuff but their cooldowns are high, so I don't really think an inquis can fill a DPS slot, while you still kinda really want to bring a taoist so you can afk in those floors. It's not 100% needed, but it's really nice specially if you're running solmiki beyond 25F, it's a pain to have to move around in those floors when you could just take a break. And a tao and an inquis will probably overlap cleric and priest circles which are not really needed twice. If I had to choose what to bring for an ET party between a full support cleric with taoist and at least cleric 2 and priest 2, or a priest 3 chaplain inquisitor, I would always go with the taoist.

Don't worry, R9 will bring the last maps in the continent where we're playing, while R10 will bring distant islands or a new continent (or both).

You'll need to pay a tax to travel to these islands/new continent. Pirate hidden class will be able to build sea ships and form parties to use a special instance called "Sea Adventure". During the travel, party members will be able to fish for rare species and fight enemies that'll try to invade the ship or sea bosses that'll try to sink your ship.

Later, some Archer R10 class will have the skill Balloonist for balloon crafting, which can be used in air travel. It could be something related to a Grenadier. This class would also have a skill like Hanging Shot, where the player would hover in their balloon to attack their enemies dropping bombs/grenades on them.
