Quinn jungle WAS legit going assassin but that routes kinda shit now, so I just build for mid/late game and and position as safe as I can to carry the aram shitshows while keeping sidelines pushed. The game right now is in a lane push/split push meta. If you want to win games then play a champion who can keep the side lanes pushed and get back in time for a teamfight because that determines the stakes of a team fight.

If you chose to push your lanes: Winning a teamfight means you get a tower, rotate to another pushed lane for another tower, and then back up for an advantageous position on Baron. Losing a teamfight is basically a wash because the enemy has to then split up to clear off their towers, your whole team is back up by the time they can get to any objective. If you don't push out your lanes then it's the same situation for the enemy where their wins matter and their losses don't.

If you push out lanes before every team fight, you can lose 3 teamfights in a row but if you win that fourth one then you will get an inhib and then pressuring for a win is a cakewalk. Side lanes are actually that important.

Because of Statikk Shiv, Tiamat items, Runaan's, and Sunfire, basically any champion can handle this responsibility so champ diversity is still pretty high and I wouldn't say it's necessarily a pushing arms race, but when looking at your team in the pick/ban phase, the questions of "do we have a tank?" "do we have a mix of physical and magic damage?" pale in comparison to the importance of the question, "are any of these players going to keep waves in top and bot crashing into the enemy tower instead of our's?"

I'm reading the comments and I feel like Riot will take option one if only due to popular demand.

Ultimately, Azir's kit at this very moment is a few numbers/functionality tweaks away from being fine. If they do option 1, having him actually be more exposed when he does damage is probably for the better. My biggest fear is they end up forgetting that they need to do a slight bit more than just "change auto-attack range", release that and then we're back to square one where he's just straight up overpowered because of numbers.

Option 2 I'm sorta rooting for myself if only because while keeping the Shurima Shuffle is cool, it wasn't intended as part of his original design. Either making E some sort of FREE stats or a self cast barrier, it'd give him a form of survivability and turn his ultimate into a defensive one. Its easier to balance around as well since there are less factors that change mechanics around since while the shuffle is so much fun, its really fucking strong in terms of play potential. Hell, increase the knock back range if they really need to, move up the summoning range so Azir can't "Catch" opponents with it as easy.

Guess I just have to wait and see. At least I wont have to wait forever.
