But let me explain if you're curious. There's a cool spell I've been meaning to implement, based on one from Dota. The idea being you cast three elemental spells, cast this spell, Invoke, and you generate a new spell, one out of ten, based on the combination you cast.

But how do you identify that combination? You could have the game save a variable every time you cast an elemental spell, and then have the game check through each possibility for the right spell. But that takes a lot of time and a lot of if/else loops, and might be buggy. In addition, since the order of spells you cast them in doesn't matter, you'd have to check for every possible combination.

If I wanted 2 ice, one fire, I'd have to check not just IIF, but also IFI, FII.
So what you want is some way to automatically check the spell that ignores these permutations, and the obvious answer is addition. I + I + F = I + F + I = F + I + I

2, 3, and 7 happen to be the smallest numbers, and therefore the most efficent, where every different combination of the three results in unique sums. This means that you can just add the values together, and compare that sum to an index for the spell. With a binary search tree that's about three comparisons. Three comparisons, down from roughly 100. This is the difference between a well-scripted, and a poorly scripted, mod.

You said you're going for a younger looking Dunmer, so maybe look up some artwork from Morrowind or that profile art of the different races that anon posts sometimes. It sounds obvious, but making a humanoid character is very similar to making a beast - you're still picky about what textures you use (although there's less for human males than there are for beast) and normals especially can make a big difference (especially on Mer). Of course you can always cheat and make him female as a base, but then he will end up looking girly.

I've used something similar to this in the past called Unique Character, but it seems to have disappeared from the Oldrim Nexus and only exists on SSE Nexus. I took a quick look in tes5edit and it seems like they work by creating an armor object out of the meshes and textures that you dump in a specific directory and force equipping it to your character permanently.

I find it to be a much easier solution than custom races, which can break a lot of shit.

Im doing something wrong on installing ENB. I turn off Antialiasing and Anisotripic filtering, and make the ini edits the site says to do, and when I launch the game, I get the ENB popups in the upper right that makes it look like its working. But the moment I try to start a new game or load a save, I get weird graphical glitches and the game either slows or freezes. I can still open the shift+enter menu, but cant do anything. What might I have missed? I've used ENBs a long time ago without this issue, so I dont think its my computer.

Also you need to properly set up your enblocal file and make sure you have your SKSE memory patch properly configured (or crash fixes if you use that instead). This shit's all intertwined and if you don't do one part right, nothing will work.

I figured i wanted an excuse to play through Undeath and maybe get some vampire action going, so i thought that what i obviously need to do is make a Redguard witchdoctor type, which is why i'm toying around with these Quan Chi -esque warpaint mashups.

Generally they work fine as-is. The early spells are usually weak.
Some of them have Ordinator patches, just avoid those if you don't want scaling.
Try Forgotten Magic, Lost Grimoire and Apocalypse though. I think you're overestimating how strong they are.

atm I've been running a necromancy type build with infestation spells/voodoo bats and conjuration stuff.

Basically, with Ordinator, I'll collect bones from dead bandits and use them to summon skeleton thralls. Either mage or strength related. Although I've also been using a lot of 2handed melee combat as well (mainly because I never tried it before)

Everytime I run my game and load my save that uses HDT hair, Skyrim dumps an HDT logfile into my overwrite file. It doesnt seem to be necessary or even hurting anything, but I get an alert when it exists there. Is there a way to stop the file from generating or to get MO to ignore it?
