Given that literally everything that's gone wrong in this one has happened during the 2.0 launch, or a WoW expansion and the XIV devs have 14 years of mmo history to look at, I'd say it is.

2.0's launch was pretty much objectively worse, but I can forgive the devs because it was basically a brand new game.

Burning Crusade was basically the biggest mmo expansion launch ever at the time, and even then you weren't hard locked out of content because you couldn't finish a specific quest.

The Warlords of Draenor spyglass problem was pretty awful and recent, but I'll give Blizzard credit for having their GM's be able to just flip a switch to pass you through the quest, and that took only 8 or so hours to fix.

Here, it's been almost 48 hours, and you have:
>Most people locked out of the 1st instanced MSQ part that 90% of the expansion is locked behind
>Constant 90k's that immediately dump you into a 4,000 person queue
>People completely locked out of even logging into their characters with a hotfix days away.
>Devs saying nothing but "There's no way we could have seen this coming, please just wait until things fix themselves"

Before the changes you had 2 fell cleaves when stance swapping. Now you have 3 Fell Cleaves when DPS stance is active all the time "Off tank" and you get 2 Fell Cleaves when stance swapping from tank. At 70 you'll have many more fell cleaves even on a stance swap.

The difference in damage between tanks and dps is small enough that it does make a large enough difference in speed. If the clear speed is noticable when a healer sits back and spams cure 1 and 2, just imagine what a difference a tank makes, and that's considering they often outdps healers.

Our investigation thus far has revealed that this issue occurs when entering “The Pool of Tribute” while performing an emote action. Due to this, we ask that users please finish their emote actions before entering “The Pool of Tribute”.

*So far, our investigation has shown that this issue occurs most often when using the “/sit”, but it can happen with any emote action

It has been confirmed that user will be able to log in again by forcefully changing the area in which their character logged out, so we will be doing this as a temporary means of addressing the issue until it is resolved.
