My problem is if I keep them as an ally I'm effectively only going to be able to fight Venice until I cross the Adriatic or into Egypt, but if I backstab them I'll always be having to fight them. Sure allying them sounds great but if they tell me to fuck off after the war and go hostile I lose out on a one-war annexation of Byzantium and give the Ottomans a gold province for no gain.

Why not just apply a global version of the modifier for the teetotaler society (I forget what it's actually called) that you get as the other option instead of beer halls? It would still piss people off, but it'd also give RGO efficiency. Maybe add some throughput efficiency to factories on it as well and I'd call it solid.

One other thing, the law changed modifier granted from increasing conscription has the same name as the modifier meant to be used to pass communist/fascist reforms on the way to the totalitarian system, but it lasts for 10 years instead of 5. If someone increases conscription right before switching government types, they'll lose 10 years of stabilization potential, which isn't realistic considering the law_changed modifier is meant to be the upper house resisting passing additional reforms since you forced something through. If you switch to a radical ideology and the entire upper house changes the ones who wanted to resist wouldn't be in there anymore anyway, and frankly the description of law_changed doesn't work well for the steps to the Totalitarian Sytem anyway.

It would be a lot of work and drain on performance for very little effective gain but I think it would be cool. If data even exists for zoroastrians around 1830 someone should do a minimod for it. Also it would be cool because iran's fascist party in the game is pretty vehemently anti-islam and likes zoroastrianism, it could even switch to the state religion. It would be memey but that political party (sumka) ever coming into power in Iran is a memey idea in itself anyway.

It's fine right now, the major problem is that Germany doesn't form until the late game, so I'm currently working on an actual event chain for the Fraternal War so it isn't quite as bad. Also apparently Italy is formed much more earlier, that will also be tweaked
