Modded New Vegas is the best Fallout game ever made by a long shot.

The game is so fucking comfy, I can't even imagine how much better it would be with a great ENB.

I'm finishing with testing my mod setup, I resolved the issues I had with Type 3 and T6M mods, added a patch for Spice of Life to bring it up to speed with JSawyer Ultimate. I'm pretty sure it's almost ready, just some more hours of testing. I'm thinking the VATS Alternative mod will go away from the setup, I'm simply using Project Nevada's and it feels more "natural" somehow.

I recently finished Fallout 1 and 2 for the first time, (incidentally, how bad was Fo2's ending? lol) what are some simple mods you would recommend for Fallout: new vegas? bugfixes, cut content, visual stuff etc.

The problem is that I can't tell you what to merge without knowing if you have made your own merged patch.

This is what I did with my current installation, I'm this fellow >>179991408

I installed all of my mods. Then I used FNVEdit's "Apply Filter to Show Conflict Losers". That shows me which mods .esms and .esps are being overwritten by other mods. Then I manually checked each conflict, and decided what to do. If I needed to solve it (one mod's changes conflict with another mod's changes), I copied the records into a new .esp, and merged the changes the mods made into one single .esp.

My Merged Patch contains ALL conflict solutions. If I were to uninstall a vital mod, I would have to redo my merged patch from scratch. But I won't uninstall any vital mod, I'm sure of what I'm playing with, and by having one single mod I minimize "patches".

You, on the other hand, rely on patches made by other authors. These are fine if the conflict is way too complex to solve by yourself (like there are many scripts or something that conflict). But I would suggest that you look at what each patch does, and if it is basic entry solving then you could merge them all into one new patch, or better yet, make your own patch for your entire installation.

What I suggest is that you:

- Reinstall Interior Lighting Overhaul. You should use the option that is base game and all DLCs. That saves you 4 plugins.
- Reinstall Project Nevada. Like ILO, there's an option for base game + DLCs. That saves you 4 plugins, if not 5 (Gun Runner's Arsenal).
- I don't know what IWS is, but I suppose it also has an option for "base game + DLCs".

It is much easier to do all of this when you are installing one by one, checking what to do as you install mods, as opposed to doing it all in one sitting after you finished installing the entire modlist.

Mine was easy to patch: I don't use any outlandish mods, just some rebalance mods and so on, so I didn't have much to patch.

Most of the time it doesn't -really- matter what dialogue option I choose, since it always ends up in the same direction more or less, but there are a lot of times where I'd like to get more info, and wouldn't if I chose an option that looked like it was just one of those more info choices that isn't an actual 'forward this conversation' option, but acts as one.

Elizabeth left Primm and took a pass through some mountains east of the town. After clearing a raider's den in the mountain, she went south to Nipton and encountered the Legion. When she was inspecting the town hall, a mine blew up and crippled her leg and torso.

Now she's in the Mojave Outpost thinking what to do next after resupplying. Maybe a visit to Doc Mitchell in Goodsprings is in order: she's got all kind of illnesses and advanced radiation poisoning.

I got a job from the Atom Cats to help out some farmstead on the other side of the bay from their base by fixing up some pump there with a part they supplied. Easy enough thing to do, and maybe they'd give me a little discount for helping out, and I -really- wanted to get my hands on some of that sweet t-51.

Sneaking around with an assaultron isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world, and some gunners almost spotted Ada while we were on the way over to this farmstead, but we managed to avoid getting shot at. Mostly.

About halfway there, our sneaking luck ran out, and some raiders started taking potshots at us, so I sent Ada in to provide some frontline while I stayed back and provided support with my automatic laser rifle. Things didn't end up going too well, and Ada got banged up to the point where she was nonoperational without a quick field repair, which wasn't about to get done with a group of raiders chipping away at the tree trunk I was using for cover.

It was at this moment, shuffling through my bag of random shit to see if I had anything to help, that I saw it; I had my flare gun. I'd never bothered to actually try and use it before, there hadn't been a situation that really had required backup before, but that time had finally come. I only had one flare, and a group of Minutemen in the area luckily saw it, and fired a return flare to let me know that the cavalry was on the way. They provided covering fire while I ran for more reliable cover, and let my body soak up a stimpak, and returned fire with my sidearm, a service revolver (renamed cowboy repeater).

(it was probably the most fun firefight I'd had in Fallout 4.)

I use it. It's basically a survival overhaul that makes establishing settlements more necessary, since you're going to want a doctor within reasonable distance.
I use it with WotC and Modern Firearms, with a patch to nerf the damage of Modern Firearms. It's fun, but the early game can be hell because you need a doctor vendor and I feel like I get infected all the fucking time. Mainly because you wont be nabbing the ingredients you need to make bandages in bulk for a while.

I'd say use Companion Nora, the one where she's escaped from her tube before you. The Synth nora mod (the new version, not Synthetic love) only has her unlocked after the main quest. Companion Nora's lines are also really well spliced, and she actually has lines with companions who trade in and out of your two person party.

Honestly unless you have a bunch of mods to totally revamp loot and damage etc just don't bother with survival, it just adds a bunch of tedium to the game with no real threat, you can't die from starvation or dehydration, illnesses are trivial and the only one that's really a concern (infection) won't kill you anyway, walking to and from everywhere is cool if you make a habit of fast travelling in Bethesda games and so have missed a lot of the content between locations but if you usually do a lot of free exploration anyway then the flat limitation on it is fucking frustrating and then there's the godawful "haha u liek beds" bullshit.
Just not worth the effort again unless you have a bunch of other mods to actually make the game challenging.

Went north of vault 111 and found a hill I liked so I setup a small settlement. Nothing fancy atm but it's close enough to my other settlement and far enough north for both I run into minimal trouble.

Now it's just a case of running a supply route and than expanding both bases and gathering supplies and gear.

Most likely going to head to federal reserve and clear it out and capture some farm labor in the next few game days.

Also need to gather some power armor frames for various guards to utilize. Will be setting up guards to travel with my supply route also.


So far so good. Also of note is that at some point my char will be setting up a settlement in concord. With all the potential spots in the city for settlement *interior/exterior* it's a must for something to be done

Does anyone know of a mod that turns Dugout inn into some kind of whorehouse?

I walked into dugout inn and everything is clipping into eachother and when i TCL and look around theres a huge whorehouse in the back of it.

I don't even have any such lewd mods. The only thing i know that has diamond in it is "the hole redux" which just adds a shopping district.
