I get you're trying to do Arcadia, but it'd be more accurate to say it's a "beat all units under X amount of turns" with fog of war desert map tiles(reduce move by 1, unless armor) with same turn reinforcement while protecting a neutral unit that has tendency to run towards enemies and small chance of random shit happening with every step you take. When I did a ironman LTC run I set up a formation in chapter 14 to feed tons of experience points to Homer. He killed most of the Freege army plus all of the lopt mage reinforcements at the end and ended up with most stats capped. After that he was my primary bosskiller.

Even in 0% growths runs he's a solid unit.

I usually play with 0% growths and I'm able to make most units useful to some extent even then. I suppose Olwen would be my favourite unit to scroll abuse because she's generally rather underwhelming but can become really powerful with some favouritism, but the 1% miss chance gives me some stress.

Despite being a SNES game released in 1999, I think FE5 looks great. Not only the map sprites but the portraits are much improved from FE4 and I like the Jugdral animations.

The current FE5 patch has some other really annoying issues such as the hero freeze in ch24 and some occasional errors in dialogue (e.g. the introduction and ch6 mareeta->safy). If it were a 1RN patch I'd say it would just be a matter of preference. Playing TRPGs like Fire Emblem with a separate script translation is pretty easy since they're totally linear.

How do those 0% growth runs go? I might do one someday, but one of the aspects I like the most on FE is raising units, so it kind of loses the spirit for me. I love watching LTC/0% growths runs though. The way you can play this series in a number of ways is part of why I'm so much in love with it
