I like that haunted house ambience for that reason. You don't know if you'll get shitty jumpscares, if you'll get followed by a monster and will have to run, or if it'll be some kind of investigation game where you try to figure out what happened.

Shalebridge's Cradle was top tier for that. I remember spending the first half of the level hiding in every shadow.

To make things short, it´s a mainline game that actually got new stuff instead of rehashing the same like the other games. The soundtrack is orgasmic, the story is good (even more because the shit writer responsible for the RB2 and 3 localization got fired or something) and gameplay actually feels FUN.

Well, it is the best game in the series so far. The system has been completely revamped. The order of your attacks actually matter in this game compared to the RB games (those are that most have experienced the series through). In the RB games, you could get away with just spamming power attacks until you got to level 25 and then spam rush attacks until you get your meter filled then spamming EXE attacks.

In V2 (yes it's called V2, not Megadimension Neptunia 7 even though the V2 does look like a 7 and is the seventh entry in the series counting the RB games), EXE drives got neutered though they come in handy in some situations, SP skills got buffed as did combos. The combat system uses V as a base much as the RB games do, but the order of your attacks actually does matter since if you set up your attacks just right, you'll get a guaranteed critical hit on each. Plus you will have to reset your combos since each weapon in the game starts with a different attack type and has a different number of attacks. Not to mention in this game, lategame combos do more damage than SP skills or EXE drives. There's also some good party customization with the Lily Rank system. You can actually decide if the person you paired with gets offensive or defensive support which is good for characters like Ram/Rom, who are glass cannons in every sense of the phrase.

Though there is one flaw that I, personally, have and that is the fact only members in the active party gain experience. There is a way around it, but it's still a flaw IMO since the previous games didn't have this restriction. Plus the game likes to shuffle your party around a lot with the many arcs and routes. You might not find it much of a flaw but I personally did.

That minor brown note in an otherwise crisp symphony aside, it is the best Neptunia game to date. And as many (myself included) have said, it is a steal at 12 George Washingtons.

Sometimes you just want to relax and play something fun that doesn't take itself seriously. Neptunia is one of those games. The simple gameplay and Tsunako's cute artstyle are nice additions as well.
I must say VII was a bit disappointing for me because of it's overall more serious tone. It still has funny and silly stuff here and there, though.

Most bosses in the series are a complete pushover. That's probably one of the very few fights in the Neptunia series that requires some strategy and thought.

First, you wanna make sure you're properly leveled up and geared out for the fight. It is possible to beat them underleveled, but you'd need A LOT of luck. Problem is, that can work against you.

The next thing is you HAVE to spread everyone out otherwise they will AoE rape you everytime.

Finally, you'll want to focus on them one at a time while keeping everyone healed/reviving when needed. Preferably Black Heart since her attacks hit the hardest with a bunch of them being AoE (including her EXE drive) and is the fastest among the 4. Once you take her down, the fight should get much easier. Also make sure you use your SP Skills including AoEs of your own. They're also susceptible to poison so also use that to your advantage.

Also don't be afraid to use whatever DLC you wish to take these bitches down.

Yeah, but pudding is a lot simpler than a pair of shoes. On a slightly related note, I once made a pair of slippers out of duct tape. Wasn't very easy, and not the most comfortable, but they were waterproof, at least. Plus, recipes are pretty plentiful, and pudding is pretty easy to make.
Her experience with it would let her know when it's done right or not, much like everyone's experiences with shoes would let them know when they encounter a pair of shoes that was made well or not.
The problem is probably more that Nep's too lazy to make pudding most of the time.
