Fire is base 3.5x lead, 5x nuke. Skill CD -2, rainbow sphere change, barrier + absorb for co-op.
Water is 3.5x rainbow, 35% gravity. No co-op skill.
Light is similiar to fire, except blind heal, chain +7, and skill CD -2 for co-op skill.
Dark is type & HP conditional 3.75x, 5x nuke that can be 10x when having 120% HP. No co-op skill.

Just checked, water does have overheal from descend, but she doesn't have matched type. Probably have to depend on artifacts, but I think that's a bit too much dedication for an unit.

Nope, level isn't very meaningful though. Attack equipment matters massively more than anything else. For that reason, getting a character to bond level 45 is the bulk of their strength since that unlocks all their equipment slots.

You only need one buffer in a 3-player room, and it's usually those with faster activation turn.
If there's no specific requirement from the battle, other 2 are usually free spots. Chain increase, color change, whatever. Some quests are too gimmick-y though, like those Lost Island descends.

Most coop is supposed to be quick within one to two cycles of leader skill so the skill reduction is fine. It's a coin toss after that if people don't have right subs to carry or you don't have someone with a sick lead. I've beem saved a lot by high skilled 10 chainers in coop more often then not, but I don't like leaving atk buff to other people since I've failed a lot of runs with dcs and shit.

Cute. Shame that I blew most of my hero tickets on trying to get Tesla a while ago. Arena mode will be implemented after the maintenance, though it is still in an experimental stage. If Google is right, you can get data chips, card levels are capped at 20 and you can only play if you have free data chip slots.

The heart skill is basically just a better version of the chain skill from last event. I believe limit breaking the chain skill didn't give you multiple bullets for whatever dumb reason, not sure about this one though.

No point bothering with complex and text heavy stuff if they take away the cute girls away because I might as well play a console/PC game in English if all I cared was gameplay and complex mechanics.

Not on all of them, some of them keep the events and content coming so you never have a chance to stop and ask yourself "Now what do I do?" because you always have something to do, something to grind or a goal to work for but when you start losing interest and slow down is when you have a chance to think about it and decide if you really want to continue grinding or if what you were aiming for is really worth the effort.

How does crit work in GF, anyway? I was stacking crit because I was assuming it went by 'typical' RPG convention - that is, if you 'crit' you always hit anyway. If crit only 'happens' if you don't miss then I can see why the +hit rate/+damage equipment is pretty good then if you don't have +hit buffs.

It's still much less involved than games with actual gameplay. All the gameplay in GF is really pointless as well which is the bigger problem. I don't remember a time when I actually felt like activating skills manually gave me a worthwhile benefit or was required. It'd also be more fun if navigating the maps was more complex and required thinking but I never felt like I had to think even when doing the chapter 6 S rank challenges.

It's a hard balance to strike. If there's too much gameplay it'll be too much work to play or if there's no gameplay it'll be boring as fuck. There needs to be just the right amount. The way I felt about GF in the end made me think they designed an autobattler and then took the auto out of it so they can say it has gameplay. The fact that activating skills manually was added in to the game months after release kinda backs that up. For how inconsequential the gameplay is, completing a late game map takes forever as well and about halfway in I feel like I could kill for an option to autoresolve the fights.
