Crystron did had some tops but i agree with the third reason, Crystrons are stupidly restricted and despite Machine-type being one, if not the most powerful monster type in the entire game having a stupidly shitty Synchro monster line-up, Crystrons only have access to the stupid shit, you could imagine something like an archetype that did Synchros on the opponent's turn could've been top tier shit but they ruined it with the "synchro summon a MACHINE-TYPE synchro", on top of having mediocre synchros, phoenixion is like the BEST crystron synchro but he needs too much and best of luck summoning him after Master Rule 4 hits.

Ghost Ogre is a must against True Draco since you want to hold it to get rid of their Field Spell. Keep it off the board and they WILL lose. It's also pretty good against Zoodiac Barrage since it just stops that.

Ash Blossom is good against EVERY DECK ever made, HOWEVER it won't get Dragonic Diagram off the field but it can hit Terraforming? In addition to a million other cards.

Basically, Ash Blossom is much more important to max out on in the main if you simply must choose.

Yes, actually. They should have (and did) ban the Dragon Rulers outright if they wanted to limit the power of DR. To this day Dragon Ravine is still semi limited even though the cards that got it on the banlist have long been forbidden. Konami's policy of "we're gonna hit neutral support that X deck abuses a few months before we inevtiably ban X outright" is a ridiculous. Hitting Terraforming is going to hurt a ton of casual decks all in the name of not 100% killing True Draco right now. But it's a moot point because they're going to fully gut True Draco once they want to sell Links anyway.
