Legit question, why did they make lightning blast banish AMULET? I can understand followers, but amulets too? If it only banish followers, haven would see more play and kill dragon since they have tribunal and seraph. Dragon would beat shadow and shadow will (ironically) beat haven.

The thing that you're not accounting for is that the devs are already working to counteract this. It might even be why Forest Anomaly was changed at the last minute (most speculate that it was going to be the badly needed boardclear that control forest needs.)
They've just clearly overestimated the precautions they took relative to the board clears they added with the expansion.
All of the cards that came out for sword in tog were dedicated to playing sticky, high-value minions and using card mechanics to keep them there. Pepe, Lecia, Roland, Jolly Rogers, Tristan, Support Cannon, and etc. It'd be a great control deck in a game where bahamut and lightning blast weren't things.

Daria, Bahamut, and Albert were 100% problem cards. They were the beginnings of ridiculously pushed cards that just weren't fun to play against, and this powercreep is what's made the game come to this state.
Daria is still the most busted card in the game, and if the rest of her deck was better and didn't 100% rely on drawing her early she would have been tier 0 easily. The entire deck was basically luck as to whether they drew multiple Darias or not.
Albert just gave more fucking storm burst to a game already full of it. Because nothing was more fun that getting hit by Albert on turn 5, then turn 6, then turn 9. He's also a great example of how dumb enhance cards are; rather than have a downside for the flexibilty, they're just incredibly good for both costs.
And Bahamut is a problem card to this day; giving every single control/Dragon deck a way to just wipe the board and get a massive body on turn 10 with one card was a fucking horrendous idea.
RoB was the start of devs throwing balance to the wind. Post-nerf RoB was a shitty meta where 75% of your matches were Daria or Aggro Sword. I don't understand why so many people think it was a good meta.

Dirt was fine RoB, control dirt was the closest it was to viable then, I think some lists had it at tier2. you just needed not to play out all your sigils which was easy since dwarf alch put it in your hand instead of on the board.

Roland is actually good against Dragon believe it or not, it's the only reason I run her because she's useless against shadow. Forcing them to bahamut to remove your durandal because they can't smack you for more than 4 damage with their retarded zell shit isn't a downside when it's so easy for sword to kill bahamut, it delays them a turn and puts you a turn closer to Albert. Dropping Roland against an already-played bahamut if you don't have tsubaki is also a valid play, the only thing in their entire deck that can punish that is lightning blast which is actually pretty good odds of not getting fucked.
