That's some good stuff, Poke. I really dug the closer look at April's character, as well as getting a few more details about the accidents. I was about to complain a bit about introducing a brand new character as the solution to the Jeremy Human's mystery that's been building for nearly the entire story with only a few chapters to spare, because that's bad mystery writing, but you brought it back right at the end really well. There was some minor worldbuilding in this, too, that I enjoyed, and I had a couple of chuckles here and there as well. Good chapter overall, almost worth the 4 month wait.

4's designs were detailed but pretty crappy overall. They feel more like they were trying to be edgy than actually scary. They have some individual details that are neat, like Freddy being made up of mini-Freddy's or Mangle being composed of wires, but these details are either scrapped or practically non-existent in the final game, due to the fact that you never see much of the animatronics, outside of jumpscares.

Still, something that uses those two ideas to better implementation could make for a good drawing.

Good stuff. At first I thought Mike and April's heart to heart was just you ribbing the thread's theories but the way it got turned around in the latter half and especially the ending came as a genuine surprise. The showcasing of April's personality and her interaction with mike was very enjoyable. As was the slight worldbuilding.

I don't agree, I think at that point it seemed pretty clear Mike was correct. At the very least he'd punched a huge hole in April's biggest defense. At the start, from his perspective, the facts were on his side. I'd say they still are.

Eh, out of all the examples you listed, I think that one was actually kind of predictable. It's a combination of Weaver's characters, slice-of-life, and tons of waifus.

If he ever finishes it, Bonnie lost in Asia had some potential.

Right, and there were comics and stuff that people enjoyed. But the fact that a previously unknown writefag could come out of nowhere, take these characters and write them so well, collaborate with Weaver himself to further improve the quality of his work, and go of for over forty chapters with only a few notable hiccups; that was completely unexpected. At best you'd figure a few lewd one-shots or maybe a half-baked greentext pitch for a story that never comes about. What Poke did was absolutely unprecedented, even if the formula seems obvious in hindsight.

I mean, it's been mentioned before but it bears repeating that the thing holding back a lot of stories was that writefags in general just don't put in as much work as Poke does. The only ones with comparable amounts of autism when it comes to sheer writefagging effort are Ghost and Protom, but Ghost spreads himself thin across dozens of projects and Protom's interests are too niche for widespread appeal in the long run.

The "formula" was obvious in foresight as well. The most popular stories have a few things in common. Long enough to create a dedicated fanbase, interesting characters, and plenty of waifus/husbandos. In reality, those 3 things are the only requirements. The plot can be ridiculous and most of the characters can be cardboard cutouts, but as long as the waifus and husbandos are easily lovable and the majority of the characters have some form of interesting quirk or another, it's an easy recipe for success.

Writefaggotry isn't as hard as some people think.

Also, how do they make that at all FNAF? I'm not one to report every post with a fan character or Roommates link for not being FNAF, but this one seems completely disconnected. I'd argue that most fan content here is more FNAF related in that they keep common themes like animatronics, pizzerias, on rare occasions even horror. Fucking Netty has a stronger connection to Five Nights at Freddy's by being an animatronic in one appearance as an easter egg in a fangame that makes some attempt to connect lore with FNAF.

It has no animatornics, doesn't even take place in a pizzeria, the one and only thing connecting it to FNAF is the characters. But the thing is, they have no canonical characterization. Fans assign personalities to them, and some are widely accepted, but there is nothing in the series that confirms any of it.

Freddy isn't an animatronic or an anthropomorphic bear or any kind of bear at all, all he has in common with Freddy Fazbear is name and personality. But Freddy has no canonical personality, so really just name. Names and hair color are all they have to connect them to the characters.

Not saying you shouldn't talk about it; reading through this blog I realize how angry it might come off as. Just throwing my own thoughts out there is all. The whole thing is just bizarre in my opinion.
