Number of layers doesn't directly affect the smoothness of the transition. It's how wide you pull the gradient when you're setting it up. I only mentioned extra layers in one of my previous posts because my personal base hair texture needed to be flattened a it for the girl I was working on.
If you aren't doing it already, make the gradient by bucketing the color you want into that layer and then use the gradient "transparency" option to remove the color in places you don't want it.

If you press F1, and then select shortcuts the keys are in there. On Japanese keyboard the keys are ru, me and ro. On non Japanese keyboard layouts who knows exactly which keys they are but for me they are ' and .

So really mod-heavy cards like Rissea and Anubis seem to make my game crash after h-scenes. Sometimes it doesn't crash, but if I go into another it usually does.

Anyone know what's causing this? I don't have any other issues with my install, so I don't know what I'm missing.

Anubis is an 84 megabyte card. The game is built around 84 kilobyte cards. If you are trying to use her without using a non-modcard version then expect your computer to explode.

No (permanent) adverse effects - they just look understandably wrong since they'll have missing assets. Starting the game without AAU is a common bugfix strategy. The "84" wasn't a hard number, cards vary in size but ~100kb is the standard. The point was the "1000 times the size of normal."

When I try to open AA2Edit.exe and its loading the main game screen (past the smiling girl with buttons screen), I get BSOD with video_scheduler_internal_error. It was working fine until I decided to try to use AA2Face, then it started happening.

This is all you need for the gradient itself. To confirm how this would look in game, add a layer underneath it that is the base hair color of the girl and make the gradient layer "Additive" in its options. Delete that testing layer when saving, obviously.

the db is dead (low traffic), nobody knows it exists again and popularity of this game isn't that high anymore for random passer bys to bother about megas. the db is good from new people who want to use it for fast search. the megas are for the people who are committed to staying and who are interested enough in the game to stay in this general to then know that megas exsist.
in short, the db is still there you can use it but nobody will use it aside from newcomers.
megas are the active people the ones that stay.
in both cases none of the DB and megas exsist because for you to know they are here you need to come to this general. also dongfire is dead so that is the nail on the coffin.

I don't get it, I installed the HEXA mods using AA2Install.
They're green and it seems as though they were applied, however, when I open AA2Edit, it's not showing me any of the new options in hair / personality / faces that the mods should have provided.

So I opened AAFace, and it shows me a lot more options in editor, but all the extra mod options are still missing.
I can change poses and eye tracking and whatnot, which wasn't in teh default AA2Edit, but I'm still limited to the basic hair styles.

The aa2respatch doesn't seem to be working. I tried setting before I launched it and it says that it's set but the res doesn't change. When I try while the game is running it brings up an error

First off, did you install multiple mods at the same time? If you did, you should install things one at a time, as installing multiple things at once tends to cause problems from my experience.
Second off, what do your registry paths look like?
Third off, what do your AA2Edit and AA2Play data folders look like?
Fourth off, are you sure you have all of the DLC? Are you using the pre-install?
Fifth off, do you have the additional personalities?
Sixth off, you don't have a clothing collection or an uncensor. I'd recommend grabbing those, either SVII uncensor/CC or MkIII uncensor/HEXACC work.

I see your problem. AA2Install, in order to install your mods, needs to point to your AA2Edit\data and AA2Play\data directories, but for whatever reason you've decided to manually specify the ROOT directory as the DATA path. AA2Install will use the registry entries to automatically find the data path for you, so you shouldn't need to specify it manually.

Here's what you need to do.
>1. Uninstall ALL mods.
>2. Get rid of the check marks and let AA2Install find the data directory for you, or specify the data directories for AA2Edit and AA2Play yourself if that fails
>3. re-install mods, one at a time.

It does, but it does not include an uncensor, nor does it include clothes.

Oh, I almost forgot: Grab the DoLLs hair pack as well, it's required for some cards.
