The only thing in the entirety of Mass Effect that could be considered a "hybrid" is how the Asari mate with other races. But they get pass the main issue of hybridization because no foreign DNA is really involved in the process. It's all still 100% Asari DNA.

In real life there is no case of human hybrids with other species. We are the only species within our genus, so we can't naturally hybridize with other creatures. There was an attempt by the Soviet Union during the Cold War to develop human/gorilla hybrids by inseminating women with gorilla sperm or inseminating gorillas with human sperm. However all those experiments yielded absolutely nothing and all the subjects eventually died.

See, humans have extreme trouble with just trying to hybridize other creatures on Earth, who share a good portion of our DNA. Think about how much more of a leap that'd be when we add alien DNA which is most like 0% like our own.

Well, one of the first things I mentioned was the Genestealer hybrids from Warhammer 40k. They're brought about through a Tyranid virus fucking up your reproductive system so when you reproduce you'll instead produce hybrids with Genestealer DNA. There's multiple generations of them, with the first ones looking the most horrific while the 4th generation look almost indistinguishable from human.

There's also hybrids in Star Wars too, with humans reproducing with many other races like Twi'lek and Sith.

In Star Control (which has the best alien designs in my opinion) the Syreen are able to interbreed with humans.

Star Trek also has half-Vulcans and half-Klingons.

The Tyranids a little different than the Kett because while the Kett's effects are immediate, the Genestealer taint takes a while to spread, often generations. Eventually, Lovecraftian-style cults begin to form around the hybrids and eventually when either the cult is large enough or a Tyranid invasion is imminent, the cult will become militant and start attacking the defenders of the world to undermine them for the Tyranids.

As well, when the invasion happens the hybrids aren't exactly "accepted" back into the larger whole like the Kett are with exaltation. Afterwards, the hybrids themselves are often recycled along with all the other biomass of the planet.

The Kett seem more like "biological Borg" to me than "Tyranids."

Yeah, at this point it's definitely a pipe-dream, since the ending of the main story had a kett leader literally walk into the camera. But for once I'd just like to have the main conflict not involve the cliche: "ugly weird space boogeyman does bad things to people so you should kill him" and instead have a main enemy that you know very well, possibly even become the villain. Instead of huge killing machines or deluded skeltals killing swathes of people, it's more about subtle themes of greed, corruption and other problems that have existed amongst civilized species since the notion of war itself.

Well they laid out the table for a direct sequel to Andromeda with the ending and choices of leadership so looks like the new trilogy will go ahead.
I really hope however any sequel/sequels will be more tightly bound similar to ME2 and ME3 because as much as I liked Andromeda. I didn't love it. It was basically Dragon Age: Cisquistion in space.

Nah, the Kett Empire is hiding somewhere in Andromeda and Primus just went back to report what Ryder did. The Kett are going to become Ryder's nemesis just like the Reapers saw Shepard as their archenemy.

I doubt Bioware will do something to the angara, but they are connected to the Jaardan, who are another big can of worms. If the angara really can be controlled by the Jaardan like some Nexus scientists at the end of the game fear, then the Initiative might really be forced to fight them... unless Ryder found a way to stop the mind control from happening.

In any case, the Initiative and the angara won't ever fight brutally and the exiles/Kadara were the only example of the Milky Way species oppressing the natives. You can even give them back the city and control of the planet if you side with the Charlatan.

Maybe the quarians brought geth along so we'll be able to have a self-producing endless army of robots controlled by SAM.

Please tell me N7 armor isn't the only set with biotic bonuses. I don't want Liam's dad to get angry at me

Google The World of Ice and Fire which is the compendium source for Game of Thrones as a great example. A mix of in world history,maps,character opinions,concept art and secret lore.

Imagining that but for Mass Effect with the addition of character profiles,star system charts, vehicle cross sections and a style that looks like an ingame datapad or something makes me really want one.

Seems like you can only have 3 powers at once equipped, so I'd assume just maxing out a few biotic powers and maybe putting points in a combat training for the gun type you like would be best.
