I levelled my CUL entirely through Beast Tribes stuff so it wasn't nightmarish. Ixal to get it to level 50 and then Moogles to 60. If there's a crafter Beast Tribe for 60-70 I'll probably level CUL through that.

Plus you get the added bonus of saying you helped bake an airship.

Only problem with that is that they probably won't have a crafting tribe from the get-go. GC turn-ins are a godsend when it comes to leveling because it's low time commitment and you get a nice chunk of exp daily from items you can easily just buy on the MB.

Well I didn't really level my CUL to actually use it, I levelled it to just get the beast tribe stuff done (so I could do the unified Beast Tribe quests at the end).

Though it helps me find a use for all the pigments I get from desynthing fish so in that regard it still gets used. But nothing else and nothing fancy.

Do your Frontlines Roulette for a guaranteed 1500-2000 points a day, from there on if you feel like grinding queue up Shatter as its the most played and easiest to farm, 500 for a loss, 750 for 2nd place, 1000 for a win. 1000 for the daily roulette.

If you have a ranged class like BRD/MCH, play that. Super OP.
If you have a PLD, use Shield Bash to harass casters and stun lock any idiot that overextends from his blob.

After they buffed hw quest exp you can get from like 52/53 (roughly where the old 2.1-2.55 quests would leave you) - 60 off 1 run of each new dungeon and the greater majority of side quests (iirc i skipped a decent chunk of the churning mists 2nd half but did the rest on my alt char). On launch if you did all the side quests you'd have to rerun aery 2-3, vault a handful and iirc around double digit for library. Are you at the hw quests yet or are you doing the old arr side quests?

the quests don't give a great amount of exp but they give gear and on hw launch you had to finish the chains to get their specific flying aether current (they changed this and afaik they have no plans of it being like that in stormblood). iirc churning mists has over 60 side quests for the 54-56 grind. It's not fun by any means and I doubt any new zone will be so densely packed with side quests considering how much complaining there was about the moogles on hw launch.

Hi /xivg/, I was going to go buy this game but I'm a little confused about the purchasing stuff. On Steam, the base game is $19.99. I know it's a subscription game but there's no option or information on that cost. Does $19.99 cover subscription for some period of time, or is just the price for the full game and I have to pay a subscription somewhere else? I hit level 20 and now I'm starting to dungeons and things and not being able to group up with players outside of the duty finder or send tells, friend requests, etc. is starting to be a hassle. At $10-20 I don't mind buying the game because it's been pretty fun since I started focusing on the story instead of the fetch quests.
