I've a bit of an "old" problem here. This evening I decided to dig my DSi out, after having not touched it in about six years. Been rolling around the idea of getting back to the last few games on it I never beat. I have one of the original R4s, before they shut down and everything became clones, and it had worked fine prior but now it seems to refuse to read the SD card(either infinite LOADING or the SD/TF error happens). I'm guessing there's some electronic or mechanical failure going on, since the card reads/writes just fine in my PC. So, while I sit here re-seating the SD a few dozen times to see if it'll go, what options am I probably looking at? Is it a pain in the ass to find a new R4 these days? Something you can tweak by opening the R4 and adjusting bits? Is the state of DS emulation decent enough I may as well just use that instead?

The initial load works perfectly fine 100% of the time. It only fails when I return to the loader from within a game. May even be exclusive to returning to the loader from gamecube games, I didn't think to test with a wii game.

You can play all the games that were made before 3.61 released. Any game after that either doesn't work or is a translation of a game that released in japan on 3.60.
You can emulate them, or you can install Adrenaline and run them natively through the psp hardware built into the vita.
It's still a hack you have to use the browser for each time you turn the system off, but it takes a very short time to do, and considering that you can leave it on standby for quite a while, isn't a huge issue.

I was in on the PS2 scene, and then I was in my twenties, had been programming since I was 13. One thing I noticed was how many people were significantly younger than me in homebrew/hacking scene and put out really bad code that hundreds of thousands of people used. I'd rewrite something more efficiently with less bugs and it would get no love. I didn't want to replace them but contribute by cleaning it up. You couldn't convince them it needed it or help because their egos couldn't handle it. Socially though most are like that.

Now I'm in my thirties and I can't even look in the general direction, most stuff seems easier to do now because exploits are provided by a competitive community just for that, and they just have to capitalize.

Code reliability and robustness is at an all time low whereas their loneliness and drama levels are through the roof.

If you're in the Nintendo or PC cloister, you probably haven't heard about the pretty sweet games that are available on the Vita. It's just memed out of discussions.

He should try some of the others. A lot of those recommended lists contain absolute garbage because the fanbase puts up with garbage and convinces themselves some of the shit is ok. Vita had it's share of garbage but some really good gems too.

Soul Sacrifice Delta, Dragon's Crown, Wipeout 2048, Killzone Mercenary just to name a couple. Really good hits. In a little way it reminds me of the Wii U, doesn't have a lot of good games but the good ones are a broad difference between the "good" mediocre you normally see.

How do I delete games properly on my 3DS? When I wipe them from my SD card and uninstall through FBI I still have the icon show up.

I plan on getting a new 3ds soon. Im going to keep my new one updated, but leave my old one hacked. If I wanted to transfer all the legit games I bought on my old 3ds, would that be possible? Or would I have to update?

Does anyone know if there are any gba emulators on the vita that support real time clock? I've tried using all the emulators I could find but didn't see anything like that in the menus.
Currently using the VBA next core on retroarch, if that makes a difference, can't get the gpsp core to work, so I don't know about that.
