Man, what a fucking letdown Echotale was.
I mean sure, since it was the AU that popularized the whole GasterSans thing I didn't expect much, but the underlying story was legit interesting, being the closest to STALKER I've seen.
Frisk falls much sooner and is in Gaster's lab, bonding with Alphys and Sans. Some freak accident occurs and shit goes boom, taking the whole Underground with it. Frisk is now older, Sans is a fusion, tehát Underground is devoid of people but full of weird anomalies and Echo Flowers.
The problem was that the artist jumped around the timeline of events, much like Handplates, except it kept jumping into things where previous events were referenced, without the audience seeing any of them. As of now the ending of the story is also posted, but huge chunks of the beginning and middle are missing. Shame, really.

Has anyone here checked out Undertale The Musical by Man of the Internet? It's got some great stuff.
Tho the way the team insists so much on NEVA EVA doing Genocide because this isn't what the game's about comes off as cringeworthy at times. Like most of the people got it the first time, I don't think all the 'give me megolovania' posters are worthy of that much attention. For fuck's sake, they released like 5 videos mocking them at this point.
Still, that being said, I can really admite the effort put into the production and making of such a big project. Some of the adaptations are downright amazing. I think their Bergentruckung, for instance, is my favourite lyrical adaptation of any UT track now.

It was somewhat lacking, but the name thing was obviously supposed to be symbolic. It's not uncommon for works of fiction to take one small detail and emphasize it for expression purposes. If we see a character looking at an old photo of his family most of whom have died, that doesn't mean he loves that exact photo only, that means he's nostalgic about the time spent with his family while they were still alive. I actually thought the name thing repeated several times was a good wake-up call for Asriel.

In the Greek plays with literal gods hanging from cranes the gods are known to the audience before they arrive on stage, and might have been mentioned during the play. The point is that the method used to resolve the plot isn't properly connected to the plot up to that point, and isn't very satisfying as a resolution.

I like how the golden flowers are pretty much the symbol of death and suffering, but you don't realize it until after you learn about all that happened.

I remember how they did that kind of things on some PS1 games like MGS, Ape Escape and Crash Bash. Muting or fading out channels, changing the tempo, that sort of thing is very easy with tracker music. Syncing it up will take a bit of figuring out from an amateur programmer, but if you need tips for how to do it, have the music never change more often than once ever 4, 8 or 16 beats so it sync up. Another idea I once had with this was playing two tracks at the same time but always muting the other, then switching or maybe even crossfading the volumes as necessary. The idea was for MGS-style alert-evasion music changes.

I think the point of these jokes is that the visual differences between humans would be so subtle for Monsters, that all humans are lookalikes to them. If all three children of the game came to live together, Asriel would genuinely have to ask which is which, every time he met Frisk and Chara.

Frisk really wouldn't have agreed, much too busy trying to keep his mouth shut at all costs. There were lots of benefits to being a 'houseguest', filtering among them. She was fine with none of the pleasure, watching him squirm was already exquisite.

His hands weren't soft, but the almost feathery touches she commanded made up for it. He couldn't tell whether she was good at this or just a very quick learning, not that it mattered. All his body cared about were the soft caresses and jumpy little jerking motions dragging him ever closer to the edge.
"Stop, just please stop." he breathed, beads of sweat glistening over his trembling body.
"We both know that is not what you really want." she said, all five fingers clenching around him for a moment. It could have been a painful motion for all she knew, but it didn't seem like he thought alike, throat dry from all the barely-silenced panting.
The motions increased in strenght and speed, his thighs tensing and his legs making hopeless and weak kicking motions. He couldn't concentrate long enough to take back the arms, and she suspected he was just putting up a mock-resistance only by now.
"Chara--"
A surge shot through him, its origin pretty hard to miss. In an uncharacteristic motion, she exercized a bit of mercy and pulled one of his hands back, taping it across his mouth. The emergency action muffled most of his cry, though none of the quickly ensuing mess. His reaction was awfully amusing, more so than she expected. A prickly feeling his arm signaled the returned control, though it brought along the odd feeling of copious amount of goo splattered all over.
The borderline sultry voice was just the icing on the cake.

I can't speak for all of them, but the particular artist I was looking at had drawn Frisk brown because they 'obviously brown based on the game' and Chara brown for diversity and because while whitewashing is a crime up there with genocide, brownbending is a virtuous act that helps more people identify with the character

I think the two funniest things I've seen so far was one camp arguing Toby is prejudiced against Chara for giving them the role they had in game, and the other is that nips/koreans only draw killer Charas because the dindu theories haven't been translated and they're too dumb to grasp the intricate story, without tumblr's help
