Well, if you go by fanart and doujins, that basically applies to every character ever. Persona isn't really a series of titty monsters anyway. Hell, Ann isn't any super either. The series trends towards something approaching realism there.

At least until Yasuda ends up as the lead character designer for P6.

I was doing NG+ in P5 for trophies and apparently leveling Mishima up past 3 makes it so he won't give you the one who bullies bullies mementos quests. I wanted to get the s link and mementos quests in one go then all I would really need is the fishing one. I'm in july and I made periodic saves but he's s link 4 in the earlier one I have.

I thought this would be the first platinum game I did but I've lost alot of motivation now. I have a save back at the VERY start of the first dungeon. So i guess I can restart there. Just a blow man.

I think Persona 5 was superior to Persona 4 in most ways.

But there's something about the P4 cast that feels inherently "friendlier" or "more memorable" than P5's. I think it's because the dungeons were based around each party member in P4 and in P5 they're based around the villains. But even besides that, I feel like P4's crew just had some element that made them more likable than P5's and made me like them a lot more.

P2 I'm sure is great if it actually let me save and stopped crashing all the time
P3 would probably be my favorite in the series if it let me control my whole party and ditched the whole tired bullshit, and before you say it, Portable is fucking terrible
P4 probably is my favorite in the series but has some of the worst characters in the series (Chie, Marie, Naoto, etc)
P5 gameplay-wise is the best in the series, the cast is pretty great aside from one character that I really don't like, but I think it went downhill pretty quickly after the Shido fight

P4 Arena/Ultimax is fun but nobody plays it anymore, the story is retarded, and the characters introduced in them are pretty forgettable
P4 DAN is good but was only really fun for a week, I hope P5 DAN gets more content
PQ had some funny scenes but is probably the worst Persona game ever made, it's a fucking chore to play through and the story is just fucking retarded and has no reason to be canon

has anyone ever figured out the math behind the likelihood of inflicting status ailments/ insta-kill skills? besides the obvious low/med/high chance given in the description of the skills, do any stats play into it? does level? are some demons susceptible to certain status effects, and if so, is there a rule of thumb when finding out which status effect may work without blindly testing them all?

I'm in the middle of a run where the only skills the MC can use are status buffs/debuffs and ailment skills and its been extremely fun, but it seems to be totally random which ailment works on each demon, but other times ailments that have never connected to a demon randomly do.

I think one of the main sources of that is that in P5 the plot is common knowledge, if not downright trendy among the NPC. In the previous games you had plot stuff and then daily life stuff mostly separate, but in 5 every conversation ends up sliding back to Phantom Thieves stuff because they're a goddamn social phenomenon. The frontier between the two ends up very blurry and so it feels like everybody is on job all the time because said job is the only thing everybody wants to talk about.
