It's the second patch, and there's nearly as much content as there (potentially) was at the end of MoP, which was a massively content rich game.

There's so many little things to do in the world, all the raids are still relevant for AP/Legendaries, Mythic+ makes dungeon progression viable and so on.

You will never finish your artifact weapon so why bother grinding AP? Your final ability will be Concordance of the Legionfall which is a 50 trait RNG ability. The final point in it will cost some 200 trillion AP which you never get before the expansion ends even at AK 50 and therefore it is useless to grind AP.

Also there's no use in grinding Maw of Souls anymore since smaller Mythic+ dungeons give way less AP than longer Mythic+ dungeons such as Halls of Valor.

Playing as Arcane just makes you into a fragile super turbo powered giant Titan Wand, while Frost Mages are literally walking Heat Death constructs.
