Well, I have heard it's more of an adventury hack&slash game. No real "RPG" elements to it. It also made Imperials a race, right? And before that Imperials were just kinda.. people, but not a race. I dunno.

Still, is it worth playing through once? It looks really interesting, and the graphics fill me with a warm nostalgia. Those late 90's 3D environments just make me feel cozy.

I'm using Vivid Weather's ENB, and it looks kind of nice, and I run at a consistent 60fps. But Vivid Weathers said it was non compatible with other ENB's, and I want to try out some others and see what they're like.

“Lich” in TES is a pretty vague believe it or not. There are a ton of different types of liches. It’s like every fucker who ever kissed a skeleton suddenly thinks they can become an undying warlord.
The traditional liches that appear in Oblivion, Tribunal, ESO, etc, are necromancers that have bound their souls into a piece of jewelry called a phylactery (though how canon this is these days I’m not sure, since you can bash a lich’s shit in with just a hammer without much trouble). But lich in TES more or less just means “undead mage”, or not even.
The Dragon Priests in Skyrim are liches, albeit ones who gain their power from feeding on the life force of their followers.
On the dubiously canon side, fabricants can have their bodies accidentally turned back on by latent magics, which are called Rewounds.
If you want to get TRULY technical (lich = mage kept alive by necromancy), all Telvanni magelords are liches. Their extreme age is attributed to benign necromantic arts, which might also be why so many of them are fucking insane.

I've tried installing an ENB for the first time. I generally like it so far but certain textures and surfaces look like they're made out of canvas in certain light conditions. I figured that I should be able to solve the issue by tweaking some of the ENB ini settings, but I can't seem to figure out which line(s) to edit. What should I be looking for?
I realise this is an incredibly vague question but I don't really know where else to ask since I haven't been able to find a solution online.

Skytweak is a bretty good mod. Between it and something like attack commitment, you can get decent (but not great) combat, that never gets particularly easy.

I'm still trying to figure out what to do about NPC arrows though. On the damage scales that make melee combat interesting, NPC arrows (and to a lesser extent, NPC spikes of Ice) basically one hit kill you. Which isn't fun.

Why did bethesda make arrows so powerful when shot from an NPC?

If you want your game to look prettier Oblivion Reloaded is pretty much the way to go.

I can't give much advice on increasing longevity of the game through quests because most Oblivion quest mods worth playing have self-contained stories and shit. Most people increase playtime because of waifan to be quite honest.
