You can watch a thousand guides and they would never prepare you as well as just playing 20-30 matches in unranked (and experience the frustration yourself).

It's more about mentality (pick what is needed, not what you want) and experience than anything else.

The two most important picks, are the first pick and the last pick. Banning is not so important, unless it's about banning OP heroes (which there are none of right now, mostly Probius or Anub).

First pick should be a hero with no hard counters, and last pick should almost always be a hero that counters the enemy team or is a hero that is strong but has hard counters. Try to fit Tank and Support picks for middle picks, as they make for bad last or first picks.

Pro-tip: Don't first pick heroes like Nova, Chromie, Hammer or Illidan.

It's easier to give advice if you say which heroes are giving you problems.

QM can be confusing for new players, since QM is not a good way to figure out which heroes are good. QM is for shits and giggles and trying out builds.

If you're having problems as Li-Ming or Nazeebo, it probably has more to do with the heroes you're playing against, than your actual skill or playstyle. It could also be that your tank is just retarded and not protecting you well enough, or your positioning is off.

Not one single hero is good in every situation, the drafting process is about picking heroes that "cover each others asses", so all strengths and weaknesses are covered.

There is only one true objective and that is the Core.

Wave clear gets you to the Core and is important on most maps. Only exceptions are maps where objectives do direct damage to the Core or buildings.

If you play him PERFECTLY, then he is decent at best.

Probious is in S because of his insane waveclear, the best in the game.

Greymane is in S because of skillset, allowing him to in and out just to execute a target. His poke is really strong once you max out his quest.

Samuro is just complete shit. He's a stealth assassin with terrible damage and relies entirely on gimmicks that require your opponent to be retarded.

Heroes in low tier are either

>are only good om select maps
>mainly good in unorganized/ low tier play

Its not a meassure of how strong the heroes, but how useful and how often they can/are played in HIGH LEVEL Hero League.

It's a guiding tool, not an absolute measure of hero usefulness. Unlike other Mobas, heroes isn't reduced to spreadsheets and minmaxing because of the nature of the game requires adaptation and playing to the map and enemy comp more than individual play.

Samuro is strong at 3 thing. Taking camps, disruption, and not dying. A few maps where hes incredibly powerful is Blackhearts bay, dragon shire, hamamura, towers of doom. When can't play to his strength, his usefulness deminishes.

Thats what grubbys list does. Lets you know who is versitle and have fewer counters versus the targeted "one trick pony" heroes that have a few weaknesses.

All heroes are viable in the right games.
