Basically she gives you 2-3 (not sure) points to that person. Notice how when you're about to hang out with someone, it will say "my bond with X will deepen/won't deepen yet." If it won't deepen, this is because you don't have enough points for rank up and have to grind points by hanging out with them. By paying Chihaya, you get free points and can usually get rank up, she'll tell you if you can deepen your relationship now if you can.

In higher ranks you might need to use her two or three times to get rank up, but you'll have a free period for the night and this game throws money at you anyway. 5k per day is a pittance compared to what you'll be blowing on fusing once you get max Strength.

There is no turn limit. They just give you rewards based on turns you fought them. You get all rewards by beating them anyways. I think my first try was like 15 turns or something and I got a ring that increased EXP gain by 50%.

I think it could just be to fit the others. The rest of the IT only have their initial Personas because their Persona evolution is Social Link dependent (even though Teddie's is automatic, and technically Izanagi-no-Okami requires all Social Links to be maxed). So that way it wouldn't be weird that Teddie and Yu have their evolved Personas and the rest don't.

I don't get why they couldn't just be options though. Have them be the default and then once you finish... I don't know, the main campaign mode of those games, then you get to switch to the evolved Personas.

How do the Velvet Room attendant fights compare in difficulty?

I've never actually fought Elizabeth but I heard her battle rules are rather strict. I fought Margaret and she seemed fairly tough but once you got a rhythm going then it's just a matter of survival. And I defeated the twins here by ensuring that I remained buffed and charged and kept wailing away with Hassou Tobi, which only kind of missed sometimes.
