I just started playing recently and I usually play support. I know that Ana is better but I often seem to do much better when I play Zenyatta. I don't claim to be the greatest with either of these characters, but would it be true to say that I'm doing worse with Ana just because my teams are uncoordinated and can't defend our backlines?

medals mean nothing if you're playing a healer and have gold healing kind of deal. it's obvious you should have those. If you're gold damage as supp then it's time to rev up the medal BM because THEN it matters.
If all 3 dps' have damage medals it doesnt matter, obj time and obj kills matter all the time for sure though because it shows you're the ones trying to get shit achieved.

medals don't matter really is a shitters motto, if you're gold in one or more, it shows you're doing something right.
at the same time though, you may have golds in places but you might be feeding the enemy free ults or fucking up team positioning.

medals still matter though when it comes down to it, just ignore the baddies crying that it isnt their fault just because youre playing a character many people love to pour salt on the floor for

I decided to grind this whole afternoon for the achievement playing with randoms, and after a close one where we lost due to time limit, we teamed up and retried a few times until we got it.

Now that got me thinking. What if when they get to future story arcs, Genji and Hanzo team up since Overwatch is now defunct.

Genji is serious and all about duty now, and so is Hanzo. So they team up and overthrow whatever goons are in the Shimada organization and forcibly take it over so they can use it as a base of operations for combating the omnics or something.

AFTER PLAYING QUACKAMPIONS

Blizzard could really learn allot from the game on weapon balance. It feels so very good, there is no imbalanced weapon, the balance of hitscan vs. projectile weapons is that JUST RIGHT quality. In that game, you can switch weapons instead of just being fixed with a MOBA hero kit, but if you only have one weapon, you manipulate the map until you're not at a disadvantage.

Still having a blast with the pve mode. Hard has not failed me anymore. Closest was when I played tracer for the first time and rein decided to hammer small fry and charge as far as possible.

I usually play rein. I will not play torb or mercy.
Am I a full-time shieldwhore on expert? Should I only smash slicers? When I charge, I charge eradicators(when there are no bigger threats around), detonators which get too close and bastions. I try to land my charges in a place which doesn't bring me too far away from the payload. I shield as much as possible during last phase, charging bastions when possible.

Any and all tips are welcome before I move to expert.

Attack Widow is more effective than defense Widow.

Actually a skilled (attack) Widow is one of those things that I won't turn down on 80% of maps. I think the worst Widow maps are Route 66, and everything KOTH.

I am generally displeased with defense Widow. A single notification of your existence/location and Widow will helplessly be LoS/barrier or just focused to uselessness for 8 seconds while the point gets rushed. She offers nothing to a defense's team ult economy, where he wall hack is about as useful as a location callout and only kills noobs who'll peak corners like idiots.

I dislike Route 66 and most KOTH maps because they usually offer your Widow very shitty options for sightlines, unlike Numbani, El Dorado, King's Row, Eichenwalde(gotta be clever), Vodka, and *especially* Anubis.
