It's a lore bible so its express purpose is lore material. It covers up until the First War. It covers a lot of Azeroth's pre-Orc history and a lot about the Titans and the founding of the Burning Legion & Sargeras' war against the Void. Definitely worth getting if you like Warcraft.

The second Chronicle lore book was released a month or two ago. It covers Draenor's history and the Orcish arrival on Azeroth. There will be a third released next year and will cover after the Second War until the start of WoW (and maybe a little bit into WoW content). It is supposedly going to be the final Chronicle book.

So this is gunna be a bit of a long one but I feel like venting to you faggots to share my feelings.
So I'm a black kid who grew up in a single parent household my entire life (go figure) and I had just my mom and lil' sis. I went to a mostly white school in SoCal with like only two other black kids, so naturally i was picked on a lot and nobody really wanted to be my friend at all.
I started playing WC3 and WoW back in Wrath as some form of escapism, and I really fell in love with the orc race in general. Their really alpha and somewhat african inspired roots gave me a way to have an influence in a way because I never had a dad or older brother or even an uncle to show me how to be a man.
Grom was my dude in and out, and Garrosh when he came in too. He was basically my Uncle Phil and I tried to emulate his masculinity and also his compassion. Hell, I was so connected to the character i farmed for three months getting Tusks.
Now I've graduated with a BA in psych and work with autistic kids and I make good enough money. I've come back to the game recently just to play my orc warrior again and I've been raiding and enjoying it and all, but I just don't have that character to connect to anymore. Grom and Garrosh were both written off really poorly and there is literally no alpha male orc character that makes me feel good about playing this ugly ass hunched back nigger race.
Anyway I'm kinda sad about the state of orcs, and recommendations for a cool orc leader to base my next transmog on?

Serious question: Is it worth getting back into WoW at this point? Summer's coming up and I don't have shit to do. I played around late WoTLK - mid Cataclysm as a Goblin mage and levelled to 85 but never got to do any of the late game content. I bought MoP but quit shortly after.

Also, what's the best class to play with highish ping? Don't say mage because I want to roll a different class. Also, I don't care much for PvP, only PvE. And how does one choose a server? One of the main things that turned me off WoW was that I made the mistake of rolling on a smaller realm at first (Earthen Ring) and could never find anyone to level with, or basically have any interaction with in a multiplayer game. Later I transferred to a high-pop server which turned out to be cancerous (MalGanis.) I never had this problem with Runescape or other MMOs desu, and I guess I'm just trying to recreate that experience, unlikely as it is.

Let me tell you about my realm journey.
You know ablout Ragnaros? Its a PvP server but its 90% horde and full Hungarian. What to know about hungarians? They are just like the horde. Obnoxius backstabbers and they have to proove they have a bigger dick always. If you are playing on alli here they will gangrape you on sight no matter if you are 80 lvl below them, because they never saw an alli player since days because they all left due to this unbalanced state of the realm.

I got tired of getting rekt while questing, corpse camping and not beeing able to party up someone. If you saw an alli player it was from another realm just hopping by. So I switched to Jaedenar. It full with north-eu ppl. Dutches, Finns, Norways and Swedish guys. They are all pretty chill and fun to play with.

Okay, there's a lot of questions in here.

If you're getting the itch, it never hurts to come back and try it. If you haven't played in a long time you will have plenty to do.

With high ping... if you want to keep playing a caster you could try Affliction lock? The rotation is pretty simple.

If you wanna stick with Horde and hate PvP, try Area 52, as far as I know it's the highest pop Horde PvE realm. Also in general a ton of stuff is cross realm now so your realm doesn't matter a whole lot for anything except mythic raiding.

Def stance isn't really what it used to be. When you swapped stances you used to have access to different moves but since they separated all 3 specs you're no longer able to pop your weapon swap macro and hit shield block/wall to eat someone's burst

Get the talent to make WW do more dmg to your primary target. That's your main spender otherwise you use slam. Colossus strike and mortal strike off cooldown. Execute spam when you hit the execute phase for a mob. Use cleave if you have like 3+ enemies to kill because it makes your next WW do 20% x the number of mobs hit by it extra dmg. Always initiate with charge because it gives you a good chunk of initial fury to work with

prot is completely fine in dungeons and phys dmg fights
the issue with it is mythic NH where a lot of fights are heavy magic damage
it's really noticeable on M krosus/augur or any mode of guldan guldan or if you try and have a prot warrior cheese some tich swarms instead of literally anyone else in the raid

honestly though, 880-890 is where you should start to be fine for fortifed +10s assuming you play well for tanking
some tyrannical bosses may push you shit in too hard (and by some I mean brh/tov lol)
this can also happen with certain fortified packs, but usually they die too fast at only 10, but do be careful of fortified arcway, it does a ton of magic damage to tanks

As a side note, people say Prot warrior is bad because it has bad magic mitigation, and there's a ton of magic damage in Nighthold. But in mythic+ where a majority of damage is physical it's fine.
