The DLC patch nerfed the Quakestone WA and reduced its damage by about 50%. The full WA now does as much damage as a single hit used to. Its stamina cost wasn't improved along with the buff to every other ultra's stamina costs, so it still takes almost an entire 40END stamina bar to use but now does as much damage as a straightsword.

If you want stake to do damage, you need a fuckload of faith and the damage-boosting rings. I'm talking 60faith.
For supportive stuff, you want Soothing Sunlight and/or Projected Heal. Sacred Oath can be neat but it takes 2 attunement slots so you're better off just using the version attached to the SSS WA.Thanks to the infusion buffs, both Blessed and Lightning are viable options for a pure faith build, meaning physical stats aren't actually necessary beyond minimum weapon requirements.

Lightning Arrow is also very good for an offensive spell. Just remember that your biggest limitation will be FP. Be sure to have a healthy amount of attunement and pack lots of ashen flasks. Healing miracles are more efficient than estus so you technically can go purely blue flasks and just sustain your HP via regen and healing miracles when necessary.

I run 60 faith, because it's a faith build so obviously you'll have 60, but no boosting rings

I would never slot Sacred Oath, just use sunlight straight sword's weapon art. You can use hunter's ring if you don't have the dex (I don't either), saves you the attunement slots it also overwrites tears, so you'll have to reapply it

I fucked up & overlevelled
but right now I'm 22 vig, whatever endurance (prob like 15), base cleric vit, 30 attunement (I fucking love my attunement slots), 32 str (great mace, even though it's shit, looks good man), whatever dex (prob base) , 60 faith

weapons are lightning/blessed mace which I occasionally swap for lightning/heavy great mace, you can 2h & WA for perseverance for a cast btw
offhand is yorshka/talisman (I slot both in case I need to swap between heal/poise quickly)
armor is pyro crown, elite knight leggings, herald chestpiece and I'm currently using alva's gloves
rings are sage, prisoner's, untrue dark & open slot. Swap around cloranthy/havel's/darkmoon/sun's firstborn/lightning clutch based on what I want at the moment

Bandit's Knife remains shit for scaling with any infusion. After the changes, it's actually best with the blood infusion and a fair amount of luck. You end up with 72 bleed aux at 40luck with it bleed infused, which is enough to bleed most normal enemies in 2-hits, and anything weak to bleed in 1.

Brigand Twindaggers are best sharp-infused now but still total shit.

Valorheart is dex-leaning quality and uninfusable.

Also note that bigdog is weak to bleed so a bandit's knife will dumpster him.

But if you take Dark Souls 1 literally, then, no. We know that the linking of the fire and its artificially extended longevity is the cause for pretty much every prevalent issue in the Soulsverse. The flame being allowed to die is what's good and right for the world, and it would have been back, eventually.
