Now that the team has been signed up, We will now get to work on creating the tactics and aesthetics files for the competition itself.
Here is a sneak peak of the head model for DRUGS (Bandit) who will be one of our starting midfielders. It might not look perfect right now but it is a very early model. He is wearing the proposed away kit for /r6g/ also.

Hit detection is honestly fine now. There have been hitches with certain characters having fucked hitboxes, like Valk, (which was patched with 5.2), but the majority of actual issues come from the shitty, low budget servers, which give everyone a higher-than-normal ping, exacerbating the problems that almost all multiplayer shooters are going to have just because they're online.
Peekers advantage exists in all shooters, but higher ping makes it worse, and the one-shot-headshot rule makes it seem even bigger of a problem since TTK is potentially instant.
Situations where you shoot someone and no shots register is not "hit registration" strictly. It's not like the hitboxes are so broken that they just stop existing at times, that's just ping and connection delay not matching up with your client. This is the only part that you could chock up to being partially bad netcode; if you're not moving according to the server because your refresh is fucking up, or your ping is insanely high, you should honstly get stuck in place or rubberbanded back to where the server thinks you are, but it mostly only seems to do that if you pass through geometry that the server thinks is still in place because that's a huge no-go. Letting you walk around and fruitlessly shoot people in the face is way more frustrating than just being stuck in place, or at least it should be.
TL:DR Servers are to blame, not all the false issues that /r6g/ and Reddit cry about every day.

genuinely I try to flank as much as possible on defense, Which I'm finding a great deal of success with. my main problem right now is compensation for recoil and aiming at head level,
I only rush when I know I can get away with it, or at-least kill most of the enemy team by surprise.

"Switch weapon" makes a shield user put their shield on their back. In other words, if you stop scroll wheel from putting away the shield, you also stop scroll wheel from switching weapons.

I don't think the scroll wheel is bindable in Siege's settings menu. You may have to go to your mouse software and disable it there.

Look into a room, preferably a large one. If you entered a doorway with no trap in front of it, where would you go next?

If you're doing secure area in sub room on Aklark you'd run to the big red box with a the missile looking things on it. Put a Frost trap on the left of the box without letting it poke out, an attacker will run into the room behind cover assuming it's safe because the defenders are on the other side of the room. Boom. Free DBNO.

For Kapkan, think small rooms or ones with few entrances. Third floor Hereford, Oregon church, under construction room in House are all good examples. Doorways you can watch so that an attacker puts himself at a disadvantage to try and disable the EDD, and doorways that are impossible to methodically check during a fifteen seconds rush. That, or alternate entrances to an area that are the "back-up route" that is already assumed safe and less likely to be checked as harshly.
