As far as I can tell that's true. Avidya Bow is probably the best raw pierce bow and spread is kinda fucked over by needing load up to get lvl 5 but Calamity Greatbow looks like the best. I'm not sure how 4 compares to 5 for spread but some lvl 4 bows could win out.

This is specifically concerning calculations using Daora's Ceti.

First, it's 30% Affinity.
Second, it's using critical boost. You're comparing 6% raw (15% x 0.40) to 20 flat raw. With 100% uptime Challenger+2 is ahead by less than half a percent, but Challenger+2 does not have 100% uptime so CE+3 is superior. Like, even if Challenger+2 has 90% uptime CE+3 is still better.

And finally,

Depending on which arrows in your volley are ignored and how quickly you stack your powershots, you can lose a LOT of damage.
In practice, it's usually the last hits of the shots that don't register, and they're also the lowest MV hits.
