How do you discuss neighborhood changes if you have no neighbors?

Never played a sims game before. Should I start with 2, 3, or 4? I assume 4 has less quantity but better quality of life improvements as compared to 3, and similarly for 3 compared to 2?

It doesn't add up though. By default, Sims spend 20 days as Adults with Normal Lifespan. Too bad I'm absolutely sure they don't know each other longer than a week though, so she should have like two weeks left.

Now, I use a (well-tested) mod that elevates the Normal lifespan from 73+ to 130-something days and it's indeed working great for my main char. In theory, the game should use the very same system for NPCs too.

How does MCC work with wicked whims?

I assume MCC covers standard sim woohoo shit while wicked whims is a separate interaction handled on its own from the ground up, rather than relying on vanilla or modded woohoo requirements.

What I'm mostly wondering is in the places that the two mods (should?) do the same thing.
Like near-relations romantic interactions, mc woohooer obviously handles that, and I see it listed as an option in wickedwhims.

So I assume they do the same thing and just flip the binary switch disallowing romantic interactions with near relations off.
The question is, do they do it the same way? Differently? Do they conflict in areas like that?

I'm joking about disgusting but seriously Sims 4 is very limited, and with a lot of CC/mods you can see some stupid failures of engine programming. Gameplay is volontary limited by EA. I don't know if you played Sims 2 but the gameplay possibilities are really huge ( buisness systems, community lots, neighboorhood customisation ). And for the era, graphics was really good

Sims 2/3 were primarily offline games either entirely (2) or mostly (3) without Origin. Not to mention it took a few years for EA to turn it into an at least semi-functioning system. So the situation were incomparably easier, plus plenty of teams were working on it.

Nowadays, it's a different ballgame. Only RLD could provide us info what's the exact reason behind the delays (much safer Origin, differently structured updates, higher priority targets etc..) but my bet is that Sims not worth the hassle any more to update regularly.
