In ME1 Garrus was pretty good, but he still was a whiny, inexperienced cop who got angry a lot because he wanted to change the system, exactly like Liam or Jaal. Throughout ME2 and ME3, we see him change, go through a lot of shit (Sidonis, the mercenaries on Omega, a rocket to the face etc.) and his relationship with Shepard evolves as a consequence, making it feel fulfilling, even somewhat realistic, like two bros (or lovers) who went through a lot together over the years.

What this team needs to do now is make this new squad of MEA interesting and a bit different in the new game(s): they will have to make their character development convicing and serious, especially if the series is gonna get darker like a writer said.

Is anyone else pissed off with the lack of odd/unexplained things in the game?

Through the original trilogy you found/explored places that where not always linked to the reapers - civilizations that went extinct on planets by their own means or other unexplained remains of ships and planets and such.

Heleus is nothing but Angaran, Kett and Jardaan stuff - which is great and all, but just every so often i'd like an unexplained satellite that doesn't belong to anyone, or the remains of a completely alien ship caught in the scourge or another primitive civ in the cluster that was wiped out by it, or just . . . other stuff. It just feels thin on the ground to me.

Anyone else have this issue?

Idk. MEA was not really a great game. It was good and did what it needed to do, create a foundation for more MEA games. But it alone wasn't great.

That's fine, ME1 was pretty good, maybe borderline great, but not amazing. By the time the game opened up, it was ready to close.

I still don't understand why they changed the music direction. It was perfect in ME1 and ME2. Why get rid of that guy if you don't have to?
