My problems with the general game as a whole:
>the game is still too slow. it's faster than the NES games for sure, but it still goes at a snail's pace. game speed didn't really get acceptable until 4 (5 is you count enemy phases taking forever in 4, but I mean more turn speed and animation speed)

Yes but they're not the Core of the franchise. Unless you grind them at best you'll see like 3 support conversation the whole game in the GBA titles, PoR and FE12 made it so that it's much easier to see them and Radiant Dawn removed them completely. And that doesn't stop people from claiming Radiant Dawn having some of the best Gameplay.

People hold it against SD because it not only lacks supports but because it has worse graphics, lacks Skills, lacks Rescue, unit balance is even worse than Radiant Dawn. Basically it has none of the Quality of Life nor the clutches people were used to by then.

Navvere's didn't even try to be hard. Thieve's didn't have poison daggers (I think), there was a forest tile you could easily get to so you could bait one of the theives for an easy kill and get the other enemies to start moving into your formation.

1. There's nothing to fix about Marth in FE1. Here's hands down one of the most powerful characters in that game.

Ok, and? mkv was still rather new at the time and did not have perfected strategies that he got now, you can see big difference from his Narcian GHB and old chapter 9 runs vs current chapter 9 runs and post-Robin GHB runs. If F Robin came out again you'd see plenty of easy videos of clearing with *3s, especially since she didn't even come at high level that these GHBs come at now.

I feel really bad about this, because of how absolutely gorgeous Echoes looks and how top-notch the presentation is, but I genuinely can't get excited about it when I watch gameplay footage.

The maps look so boring and tedious, I can't help but feel like it's going to play like Awakening all over again where strategy is basically non-existent and your only goal is to grind up enough that your units can sweep every map.
