DaS3 is going to head towards it's pre-DLC state pretty quickly, i.e 5k~ players on PC. Where it goes from there and into the future now that it's done, who knows. I'd argue it's still going to be the most active just because it's the latest game. DaS1 and DaS2's PvP are both polarizing (for different reasons). I play all the games though, so idgaf.

I know people like their claymore and their zweihander and halberd and all the regular old weapons from DeS/DaS, but I would have preferred it if From had gone for a proper fusion of DaS and BB and made 20-40 unique weapons like Valorheart, Friede's Scythe, PUGS, Aquamarine Dagger, etc. while still allowing both highly defensive turtle gameplay and allowing highly aggressive spam play like BB to also be viable. It's interesting to see some of the people who are heavy critics of DaS2, but were also big hypemen for DaS3 and Memeazaki's grand vision completely silent and removed from DaS3 now. People like AGermanFedora for eg. Lord of hollows: grey darksun, everyone is using londor dark magic, more pilgrims everywhere, roaming hordes of hollows, all bosses/enemies/minbosses respawn and instead of fighting the soul of cinder you fight yourself, lord of hollows

End of Fire: Everything is dark like untended graves, black knights everywhere, enemies can no longer use pyromancy or flame related attacks, bosses all have new dark attacks where they had fire ones before. Final boss is Ludleth who is trying to link the fire and you have to stop him, and if you chose to wrest the flame from it's mantle for yourself you are in a permanent embered state

Age of fire: everything is the same as it was before but each NG+ cycle the corruption of the deep rises a little more, aldrich becomes a little more powerful, new deep enemies appear and you can see the sea way further away is getting closer until when you reach NG+7 the entire game world is submurged under water and everything is corrupted by those pus of man creatures, spooky glowing fish and monsters everywhere
