There are cool guilds and people on both sides, it really depends on what you want to do. The biggest obvious class difference would be paladins vs shamans, and whether or not you are going to be tryhard ranking.
The absolute only thing I would tell you is to avoid /vg/ guilds, no exceptions. You can be friendly and group with them, even make friends, but I would not suggest joining their guilds - either this current one or any in the future. Plenty of people here are not in MoH for lots of reasons and once you read through the threads you'll pick up on why.
There literally is no reason to join a /vg/ guild.

Like the other dude said, it's really easy for people to scam you. Epicnpc has some reputable people, so does ownedcore. I'd suggest going through someone with good rep and not any sort of group.
I'd suggest paying someone to level instead of buying a character.
You could even have success finding someone from here to do it, tho it would likely not be as fast as some of the sellers promise on epicnpc.
One thing to remember is half the time those dudes selling accounts are doing shit that can get the character flagged, then once they're paid they could give a fuck, and I'm not convinced that some of them aren't outright scammers.

What level are you? It's not technically horde side, but if you can solo the first few rooms of deadmines, there are like 6 copper nodes and a few tin nodes in there you can clear out and reset over and over.
Durotar full circuits have a lot of copper, but of course depends on competition - if you're sub-mount you'll still get some but if just one fag with a mount is there you'll feel cucked.
Same for barrens, full circuit.
Once you get past tin, silver spawns really decently in ashenvale rivers and along the western end, other side of the mountains fromt he beach (like above the horde base there).
And iron of course 10k needles, try to do the caves as well if you can stand it. I never get a lot in shimmering flats but i know people like it. Lots of copper there also.

The main difference is alliance have near instance BG queues, so horde has more downtime to do duels and stuff inbetween.
