Why is everything converging towards the kiln? Gravity caused by too many souls in one spot.

In the end you can either explode (linking the fire). Releasing vitamin D all over lordran and stopping the pull of gravity or Covet the flame.

Coveting the flame, keeping all of the souls = gain enough mass you become a fucking black hole. No more light. What is left in the empty void beyond light is Dark Matter, or "Humanity"

What soul level should I be trying to fight the abyss watchers at? Because the last thing I beat was a tree and I feel like this 3v1 fight is way too strong. the knights are agressive, and between their long attack strings and there being multiple blocking and dodging are equally ineffective. I just get stuck staggering around until I die.

Im doing a playthrough using largely on Corona so far, and youre right, its pretty great in PvE and worth the cast if you get at least 2-3 ticks, but its also physical damage and will never do work in PvP. It also requires some precise spacing depending on what youre fighting, is hell to hit dogs with, and gets harder to use the closer your enemy is, or how close a wall is.
So yea, it has some pros, but also a lot of cons. If it hust went through destructables, or always passed through terrain to reach you, itd be significantly better.

Aquamarine has a lot of versatility with the different applications of its WA attacks, is longer than Bandit's Knife slightly and BK's bleed nerf along with the Rouge nerf hurts it relative usability. On a DEX/INT build the effective damage of Aquamarine is also good in both forms.

the covenants now work occasionally for me, still did not get around farming the last few ears, I recommend to only start farming in NG++, there are 2 ears which you can pick up, that means 6 ears you don't have to farm, also in NG++ you are sure to have all the crap that increases your item find, like +3 Gold Serpent ring (+125) Symbol of Avarice (+100) and Crystal Sage Rapier (+50) + a ton of rusty coins, you then also could go to rosaria and put 99 into luck, for that last bit of item find I didn't tough. There was a fix for the auto-summons which involved making a new steam account, enable family share and transfer the safe, it worked, because, thanks to FROM dark magic PC-science, the auto-summon stuff is somehow tied to your steam-id, and old ID's somehow cause a problem here, I say was, because FROM went ahead and broke the only possible fix to their shit system.

Depends on the school of magic and what you want to do. For all schools just using your best nuke spells in PvE will be dull but effective, if you want to mix magic with elemental/infused weapons you'll have a lot of options to work with compared to the standard playthrough. PvP is another matter entirely. Be more specific and I'll write it out for you.

The WA draw doesn't slow your movement until the end when it transitions into stance, and doesn't prevent you rolling. You can just tap it regularly in neutral. People start panic reacting to the tap because they can't react to the actual swing.

If you want to do sorcery there's plenty of options even though comparatively I think sorcery is the weakest of the three magic schools right now in terms of a full breadth of options.

So for spells your basic loadout should include Homing Soulmass and Great Farron Dart. That is what you should ALWAYS have. Basic Soulmass is cheap to cast in FP and has faster cast time than Crystal for barely less damage. The damage of it isn't the point so much as using it as a pressuring tool, while Soulmass is up you should always try and angle yourself away from an opponent so it doesn't fire right away and angle yourself to them when they try and approach or are in the middle of an animation with long recovery. The Soulmass makes you always dangerous to approach if you use it well and costs a pittance to recast so long as your opponent isn't right in front of you when casting. Great Farron Dart at 60 INT does even more damage than basic Throwing Knives with the same animation, making it great for both chip damage and finishing off opponents.

Beyond that you have some options you can pick from. I'd strongly recommend Farron Hail as it also has a fast cast time with little recovery and acts as a shotgun blast in a wide area that if you aim well will usually chip your opponent even if they try to roll through it. Soul Greatsword is a good range melee punish if you space well and can also go through walls if you're in arena. On your nuke spells, both Soul Spears cost a lot to cast in FP while having very noticeable cast times, for every person you hit with it in my experience there's a hundred who roll through leaving you with a big chunk of FP gone with no gain. I find Great Soul Dregs better as a nuke due to the lesser FP cost and slow travel time of the projectile potentially working better as a big damage punisher. Farron Flashsword is also good but with the new Preacher Arm I feel it's obsolete comparatively.

DaS2 did a lot of cool shit with the whole PvE oriented covenant stuff. To be fair, a lot of the covenants were dogshit (as per tradition in these games), but the Pilgrims were cool. The one that just made the game harder was less impressive, but still cool to me. Dunno, I like the idea of there being some straight up elaborate PvE covenant in these games - Wish they took it further.
