When DShift had around an 80% winrate in the hands of the top ranked players either pre or during DE, the overall winrate for Dshift was much lower. The general population never had the 69%~ winrate with mid sword, it was around 10% lower. When the general population is hitting 70% winrates I would say the deck has gotten a bit too out of hand.

What do you mean by too greedy? Greedy in desire for nerfs or greedy in deck building? If it's the former, I'm not opposed to giving the meta more time to settle down. Shadow winrates have actually been going up over time but more time is fine. No meta in Shadowverse lasts particularly long enough to be that upset with it, at least personally.

However, if it's the latter I think you might have overlooked what makes the Dragon/Shadow dominance so strong. The answer to shadow right now is as much early game removal as you can muster. This is exactly what gets you killed by dragon. It's very hard to build a deck that can answer both dragon and shadow.

Missed two assassin fetches and I had nobody I could gawain evo into on t4 but I still managed to pull 11 damage out of hand to add to the board. Being roach-lite is nuts

T2 is so shit right now it's not fun.

Shadow literally has it all. Cheap removal, cheap board flood, wards up your ass and big late game damage, and EVERYTHING you want is low rarity too, so you pretty much guaranteed to get a strong deck no matter what.

Dragon is also bad, but they can brick extremely hard and you can kill them way before their ouruboros shenanigans. Against dragon you either win hard or have a bad time, against shadow it's like sticking up a giant boiling metal pipe up your ass hoping to not bleed out, it's ALWAYS a bad time, it's so stressful.

There's never any situation where I'd rather have Blazing Breath, which is why I've completely removed it from my deck. If I don't think I can ramp to 6 fast enough, an early Salamander's Breath takes out whatver a BB would take out plus more like Grimnir. Otherwise, if I can safely ramp then SB will take out whatever BB would take out plus more, and the eggs will help cover the ramp while also giving me a free card.
