About to start NG+, is there anything in particular I really need to worry about if I want to max out every social link this run or am I good with all the freetime not having to worry about social stats opens up?
Are any of them particularly annoying and should be prioritized? I'm thinking I'll probably try and get Chihaya up as soon as possible since I think she makes it easier to bond with others?

Also what about dating people? On my first playthrough I stayed faithful to Hifumi, can you actually date more than one person for their valentine's day and christmas gifts or would that backfire with me not getting anything at all?

IIRC I beat him on my first try without much trouble, I think it's partially luck-based but bringing along Morgana and a recarm should definitely help, I think the skill card DLC gives you a free recarm so pop that if you don't have it.

Anyone else wish they introduced the characters sooner in this game?

For example, I LOVE Futuba and her interactions with everyone (as a character), and I wish it didn't take 40 hours to have her show up in the story.

Maybe for P6, they could introduce the characters and have them be important earlier and only lock their party member status behind a dungeon or something?

Let me clarify. I phrased it wrong when I said "cheating".

It's more so that it's weird because if Joker and Anne are super "soulmate" whatever into each other the week before from social links, they would have looked at each other or joked with each other too in a situation like that. Ryuuji might also joke with Joker a bit about Anne or something. The whole situation played out as if no one's dating one another is what I'm saying.

This is just an example of how the beach stuff started though. The conversation that happens after where the girls basically imply that they'd never date any of the guys and ditch them also ruins the social link events.

The fish is really easy to be honest, you can do it in two nights total.
Just get enough points to buy one of the highest tier bait, then go fishing. You need maxed Proficiency and catch 6 random fish, then on the 7th/last attempt before you go home for the night there will be a long fish that looks kinda special, wait until it's near you at the lower side of the pool, throw some luxury bait infront of him, and reel him in instantly. Futaba is hard to introduce early on because of being a shut-in and you only see some foreshadowing from Sojiro.

Haru however should've shown up more before she joined the party. She's even from the same school and you only see her twice before the actually joins.
What they could've done with Haru is make her friends with the gang without knowing they're the PT while she also has that beauty thief identity already and keeping it a secret to them.

Just got the game, should I play the game with Japanese audio or is the English voice acting actually decent for once?

I acknowledge all the great stuff the game had, but man, did that stuff near the end ruin the lasting appeal for me. I just can't stop thinking about the bad things since they only came up so close to the end. I mean it's still my GOTY thus far, and I doubt anything is going to top it, but fucking hell, had the end been made better it may have even gotten to my top 9 chart. But it didn't, and it kind of makes me sad.

I was gonna go subs but in all honesty the dub is pretty good, you can always switch to the dub/jp for a ng+ playthrough if you do one.

The translation takes some liberties though and will have words that aren't even being said in Japanese.
