Its kinda messy about it because original guns have waaaaay lower dmg so you can tank dozens of pipe pistol shots ( especially with T3 Kevlar Vest and T2 arm/leg protectors ) only to drop from one well place .338 Lapua AWM round.

But its fucking best weapon pack for F4 there is.
Unfotunately it doesn't come with any helmets, pistols or shotguns :(

First off, I illegally downloaded fallout 4 last year, it sucked, because of bullet sponges.

Then later I found Better locational damage mod, and the game became the most intense game ever. I would die from 3 bullets, always had to plan my assaults, tiny sounds of voices in alleyways would spook the fuck outta me, game got really hardcore, Fallout 4 became a completly different game, barely did the mainquest. Instead it was all about travelling, looting and dangerous shootouts, it was the greatest fun I had in games for a long time.

Wasting 2 mags shooting single bullets at enemy group 300 yards away really felt like those iraq war videos, better locational really changed everything.

Now I want the best mods before i start the game since i just bought fallout 4 on steam, this time I want it to be even more better.

Ps, never played ARMA ever, it was example. Shove that bald spot up your asshole as well.

I like the fallout 2287 mod, but I'm too lazy to fuck around and make it compatible with True Storms. Mandatory gas masks in dust storms, FH fog, rad storms and Glowing Sea only. Not gas masks as soon as you go outside. I'm scared I'll fuck something up if I mod it.

Author said they would make it more modular in future, so I'll wait. Will make my immersion almost complete (fuck MxR, glad youtube isn't paying that tools mortgage anymore).

I use Doombased, Skibida and Mike Moore's weapon mods. I prefer them to MF. Raider Overhaul includes handmade revolvers and blowbacks, as well as pipe shotguns, what pipe weapons should have been.

I like my sci fi, so I have some Gamma Weapons which will be integrated into an Atomic Warlords mod soon, the plasma cycler, fusion gun, plasrail and fireworks cannon.

Apart from that, I have the mosin nagant, just to check it out, remote explosives, the 10mm sub and I think that's it. More than I'll ever use.

Most of my mods are gameplay related shit. About 60 weapon and armor mods. More sci-fi doomsday prepper than tacticool.

It's not that any old water purifier wouldn't make clean water in the Capitol Wasteland, it's that most people couldn't build a purifier for themselves and the ones already there aren't enough for large scale agriculture.

Project Purity was important because it would produce enough clean water for literally everyone all at once and have enough left over to irrigate vast tracts of farmland.

In 4 there's not so much one absolute best modder but I'd say asXas is probably my favorite so far, there are a number of talented modders though.

I'd say the problem with trying to purify the whole tidal basin is that pumping it back out into the environment it immediately becomes radioactive again because there's so much radioactive gack out there. The GECK technology must temporarily in fuse the water with some kind of anti-radiation agent so that it doesn't immediately become worthless as soon as you take it out of a controlled environment.

Extra flora for the Mojave is retarded as fuck, because even before a global atomic apocalypse, the Mojave is not that lush of a region. I thought the amount of green and plant life in the Mojave in general was perfect. The shielded higher valleys still had pine, areas with water had more broc flowers, in general the geography was well-designed for the Mojave
(the hazard and threat layout was shit though).

A. James died to stop PP from falling into the hands of people wanting to use it for genocide.
B. PP has every reason to exist due to all the radiation
C. The purifier removes radiation from the water, James just rerouted it to vent into the control chamber. It doesn't normally release radiation in that way.
D. Autumn had every reason to be there given that PP was the Enclave's primary goal, and he would want to oversee its occupation.
E. He doesn't make any actual argument about Little Lamplight, he just spergs over it.
F. The GECK we find in Fallout 3 is a non-functional matter recombination device that would kill any human it comes across. Both James and Bruan tell you it doesn't work, and it kills you if you try to activate it to prove the point.

Little Lamplight is a nice homage to Mad Max, which the series has always drawn inspiration from, and is no more or less believable then the absurd tribal groups we see in Honest Hearts like the Sorrows.

And in the case of Charon, NPCs actually having some sense of self-preservation is something we need to see more of.

I disagree, because Syndicate had zero media for over a decade after it died, and then it was brought off the shelf as nostalgia bait for a generic as fuck FPS after 15 years. While Fallout 4 is arguably a horrible drop (especially regarding RPG classification), the franchise itself has survived and maintained, and has had good games in between (as much as FO3 is hated, it's a solid game, and even was a decent RPG in it's own right if somewhat limited).

I don't like this idea that because they've had operations and missions in an area, that they've "conquered" it or has the implication that they've maintained dominion over it. Yes the MWBoS detachment fought from Chicago to Buena Vista, Colorado, but that doesn't imply any maintained political culture or control over that region. Also the BoS's main power base was more in western Illinois than Chicago are proper.

Considering Nebraska, Kansas, eastern Colorado, and probably parts of Iowa and western Missouri, are part of the great plains, which are depicted in the Fallout Universe as being radioactive dustbowls with severe weather, any settlements in those regions would be isolated and independent for various periods of time.

Also, the midwest BoS chapter itself is very different; the change of culture it's gone through compared to the original quasi-religious order of the original Brotherhood, would mean it would have a lot of potential points of contention within it's own ranks; more conservative members who adhere the old Codex, compared with pragmatic inclusive members of the new times. Who knows how divisive ideologies have been in that region?

Then if you throw in the implications from FO3 DLCs and NV, where the Enclave has or have had a presence in Chicago, what have they done? Have they stayed in hiding and manipulate the conservative BoS factions? Have they come out of hiding to make an overt power play in the region?

Chicago would make a great setting for a new Fallout because there are a lot of potential idealogies at play, it has urban potential, it has a lot of pre-war secrets potential, its location in north-central US covers a lot of market, and just because a couple missions were set there in a game that was set 100 years before the "current" time in the FO universe, doesn't mean it's "already been covered".

Really, any place in the USA would make a good setting for Fallout 5, except New Vegas, DC, and the Commonwealth.

The endings for Fallout Tactics show them having outright conquered most of the towns they found, and establishing a large system of trade routes between them, from Illinois all the way to Colorado.

And Caesar mentions in New Vegas that he captured BoS scribes out east that don't know the name of Maxson.

The only BoS operating further east of the Mojave is the Midwestern Branch, and their lack of knowledge of maxson makes sence given how they abandoned the West Coast ideals.

Which only shows that, by the time of New Vegas, they still maintain their dominion from Chicago over to Colorado.

There is no long-term benefit to siding with the Powder Niggers, they only control a small shithole area, they are easy to defeat or avoid if you're their enemy, their only doctor service NPC is shit, and their only unique merchant is mediocre at best (it still sucks you have to kill Carter if you help the NCR take the prison back). Also alienating the NCR in the early game is a good way to lock out 80% of the game's content. Besides, the majority of "loot" to sell you don't even need to steal. And making friends barely requires CHA anyway, doing a quest for them or their faction is half the process.

Actually, I'm not a fan of FO4, and don't own it. And yeah I do know about roleplaying, my last playthrough was as a woman courier firebug kleptomaniac who was scared and autistic about men after waking up from a gunshot to the head. I threw dynamite at Tomas after he killed Jacklyn and started moving toward me because of fear, I couldn't finish My Kind of Town because I'm too scared to even approach the prison, and Major Knight intimidated me with his logbook questions I left the office when I ended the conversation (I'll have to do Primm Slim route but I'm a dummy and can't into science). I've only done the quest from Ghost because I can talk to other women alright. It's really been a pain in the ass playthrough being scared of the majority of quest-giving and quest-resolving NPCs in the game.

I'm just saying he was dumb as shit because he was playing as a "good guy" and claiming he was constantly poor, while somehow he was rich by siding with the Powder Niggers (which I called him out on as not making any sense). You can be a complete moralfag and easily make enough to get by on. It didn't help he ended his post with essentially "what did they mean by this?" which is a shitposting redflag. Basically the tone of his post and especially the last comment was bullshit (which was basically "the game implies being a bad guy is promoted by the game").

I merely pointed out that it wasn't, as the Powder Gangers are a weak as shit faction, and very rarely do you gain any benefit from acting like a thug or evil character. This is also my complaint with almost all RPGs, is that going an "evil" route is a waste of time because the games never have content to really make going evil a suitable route. You might get more in-game money or loot initially, but going evil always locks you out of content because you either kill or destroy NPCs which don't get replaced, or you alienate NPCs which only give tasks to player characters they like.

Taking over The Institute would be a terrible waste of manpower and resources for things the BoS never cared about(such as farming tech), things they always destroyed(such as FEV and synths), and things that really can't be used or moved outside The Institute itself(such as the reactor and the teleporter)

Not to mention the fact that keeping it intact just leaves the possibility of Institute scientists somehow reclaiming it, shoring up their defenses, and thus starting the whole cycle over again

The fathest east the Legion MIGHT have been is eastern Oklahoma, as there is an "Okie Centurio" or something unit within the Legion, as one of the known Legion units (this is mentioned by Chief Hanlon, but no context of the name is given). But I doubt the Legion has been east of the Rio Grande valley in New Mexico, as that area is pretty desolate now, I wouldn't imagine what it's like in the post-apocalypse. Also between the wierd shit at White Sands and Roswell, could have some crazy ass hazards and mutants. I'm sure any tribals from Las Cruces, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe regions would've probably considered the eastern areas to be nothing but emptiness and death, and a faction like the Legion would grow towards known other tribal factions. Not saying there probably hasn't been Frumentarii and scouts out in the Texas panhandle and Texas itself, but I seriously doubt the Legion in force is farther east or southeast than Las Cruces, maybe El Paso.

Lanius also mentions that Denver is at the extreme end of their supply lines as well, so going by Flagstaff and north-central Arizona as the Legion's original "homeland", El Paso would be a similar range as Denver to that (although geographically getting to El Paso is easier; crossing the Malpais is maybe the harshest area, but that's deep Legion territory and probably pacified now; from there the Rio Grande basin is probably the main eastern north-south corridor of the Legion.

While I know its not very popular, the design for the power fist is, IMO, an improvement. the ones from the older games were really poorly designed, and would likely have shattered your fist from the force of the powered part of it. The Fallout 4 one keeps your hand in its own suspended component, which would reduce the kickback on your hand.

The combat armor more closely matches the lore of it being a modular system then past game's one piece apron suit

I remember reading a sci-fi/fantasy book about an alternate universe where Islamic Europeans (Christianity was almost wiped out as the Black Death was exponentially more deadly in this alternate world), when they finally got to the New World, would explore the great plains in landships with sails (and Cheyenne would raid the landships using primitive motorcycles with technology sold to them by a cross-dimensional empire based around the San Francisco Bay). Pretty cool but pretty crazy stuff.

Anything but just spear-chucking tribals, and shitty ass BoS/Enclave/Pre-War scientists in some metropolitan ruin, though. That's been played to death in Fallout. We need some crazy shit to mix it up. Landships sailing across the wasteland plains with pirates would be crazy enough.

I ran recast generate for my navmeshes and it made me a near flawless navmesh. Land and objects generate gave me a really fucky looking navmesh.

Now I just need to mess with the lighting a bit more, I want it to be kinda dark and dimly lit, similar to the Van Graffs shop. Also those tables are going to be displaying tons and tons of plasma weapons, new, old, mines, grenades, ammo, etc. But there will be 3-4 guards with Plasma gatlings in Plasma jet power armor watching your every move, and Captain Plasma will also melt you if you steal anything. If you're a bad enough dude I guess you could kill everyone and take all the stuff, but you'd miss out on the merchant possibilities for later on.

I'll probably maybe also have some raiders and gunners in there (on good behavior) looking at the weapons, and a terminal entry on Plas-mans terminal talking about how raiders have tried raiding him so many times he could literally swim in all of the goo left over from the attacks, until they gave up and started acting on their best behavior to get premium plasma weapons from his shop.

1. Fallout 3 was set in Washington D.C., and covered parts of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania(with Raven Rock being confirmed to be the same Raven Rock in southern Pennsylvania. In Fallout 3 we got to see D.C., and Pittsburgh, and got lore on cities like New Jersey, and Philadelphia as being minor locations in the post war world.

2. Fallout 4 is set in Boston, and is really "Fallout: New England" with Fallout 4 vanilla showcasing what its like in the lower, more populated, parts of New England, and Far Harbor showing us what its like in northern New England.

3. Fallout 6 will likely be set in Charleston, SC, as the city
A. Has tons of national historical landmarks
B. Is an old city with lots of history
C. is set roughly center along the southern east coast like D.C. is centrally, and Boston is Northerly
D. Will likely be used to show us little parts of both Carolinas, as well as Georgia.
E. Other large citites will likely be largely written off as "yeah people live there, but nothing important" like Philly and NYC were in Fallout 3 and 4

And with these three games + DLC, they will have shown us all of the east coast.

Charleston would also make a great place to then segway into a Gulf Coast series of Fallout game, by hinting at some shit going down in places like Miami, and New Orleans.

Well, this map is based on some amount of fact,

Both Bethesda and OBsidian have mentions that Bethesda are east coast people(owing to them being based in Maryland) and Obsidian are West Coast people(due to being based in California) and that they are both fine with that because it allows them to focus on areas that they understand the culture of, and can easily travel too.

Avellone also commented once or twice that, when making New Vegas, Bethesda let Obsidian do whatever they wanted to do with the entirety of the western U.S., something no company would allow unless they had no plans to go there themselves.

And Obsidian really did mention basically every state in the western U.S. in New Vegas, showing that they took what was offered to them.

The Midwest is something both companies seem to want to avoid, likely because neither of them wants to deal with the whole "Midwestern Brotherhood become super badasses in every ending of Tactics" problem.

Outside of a few mentions of Chicago, the Midwest is basically ignored.

Even in The Pitt DLC, which takes place right near the border of the Midwest, Ashur mentions his slaver empire reaches Washington D.C., Tonto Canada, and compares his city of Boston.

His reach would also put him in striking distance of cities like Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, and Cincinnati, in terms of where he could get slaves from, and Chicago is within the same distance of Ashur as Boston is, so it should be within his reach to know whats going on there, yet no where in The Pitt DLC does anyone mention any of these cities.

Again, likely owing tothe fact that going further east then Pittsburgh would mean having to deal with the Midwestern Brotherhood being close by.

Bethesda seems happy with staying on the east coast, both Bethesda and Obsidian seem fine with Obsidian having control over the west, and both companies seem to avoid the problem that is the Midwest.

This is honestly why I just play the regular difficulty.

I have tried survival/immersion stuff in the past but it was always more tedious and annoying than immersive, bringing me out of the game by constantly hitting me with resource requirements rather than letting me get sunk into the setting.

Little things like bedding down for a camp and cooking some mutant monster meat was a lot more immersive feeling than constantly refilling my food meter and I just chose to do that on my own.
