It's dreadful. Recently I found myself enjoying other storylines like Illum and Makeb a lot more. The pacing is terrible in Kotfe/Kotet, the characters are not great, the plot is super retarded and the ending is extremely underwhelming. The worst part of Kotet for me is the palace mission. For example - I used to work IT for a large pharmaceutical company. Once a year we had a company picnic at a local amusement park. Our CEO came up and talked about things and then thanked every single group EXCEPT IT. (Information Technology for those who don't know). He even said "lets give the cleaning crew (who were not there) a hand for doing such a great job!"

Two weeks later we all were "downsized" and they brought in some IT Temp company with workers from India to do our job.

I am getting the same vibes now that I got then. While I don't think it will be 2 weeks I think this games shelf life is close to expiring.

look at how few people they have still working on the game. compare that to what SWG was like near the end (for anyone that stuck around after NGE came out). near the end of SWG i remember there was like one or two guys working at SOE and working on SWG, one of them being teesquared. dude was a good guy but there was no way he could continue SWG alone. its beginning to look like SWTOR is going the way of SWG post-NGE, where the team is shrinking and shrinking, and fewer and fewer updates are coming out.

Jedi Knight series is good and so is Knights of the old Republic, but those games are all 10+ years old. You'll have to see for yourself if they are "dated". Jedi Knight Outcast/Academy are fun as hell and has some crazy lightsaber combat too.
