I'm desperately looking for something in the game that I can find fun, but I get frustrated because there is no fun to be had. I keep trying to convince myself there's fun in DaS3 because it's a Souls game and I've been wasting hours of my life making character after character looking for that one weapon or one build that's fun. But I can't. I have over 500 hours on this game (PvE only) an still haven't found something I like. I do like the bosses in this game, but it's not enough for me. So I bitch.

I think it's unhealthy and I should just uninstall the game for my mental sake. I can replay and enjoy DS1, but with DS3 I just force myself to play and play and play until I find something fun. I played for 15 hours today and I can't recall any hours of that that I could say was fun outside that 5 minutes I spent fighting Midir.

I switch between a lot of builds and use a lot of weapons trying to find the one that clicks with me, but aside from one weapon that I feel shame in liking, nothing just feels right. I have run into a huge problem, I did a greatbow build but greirat won't go to pillage, when I tlak to him alls he says is "You can keep the ring"

I've played about half that in Diablo 3, and I think out of that 250 hours, I had 5 hours of fun?
I realized the only reason I was forcing myself to play was because I really enjoyed Diablo 2 and just was trying to force myself to like it because it's Diablo. After spending 2 months of playing almost 24/7 I had to uninstall it, I never want to go back.

I also have 1,000 hours of Dota 2 played, and only enjoyed like 40 hours of it lol

I have spent exactly 496 hours into DS3. Did I get enjoyment out of it so far, yes. Was it fun? On the whole, no. While I agree almost 500 dollar is worth my 90 bucks I paid for the game +dlc, I can't but help feeling I could have poured those hours into another game and got more enjoyment out of it. If only that other mythical game existed.

DS3 isn't bad, but it's not that fun either.

It's a shame that the game doesn't have fun weapons/builds like the other games in the series.
I really liked the bosses of Dark Souls 3, but with no engaging weapons there's no reason for me to replay, I've done a playthrough of every weapon type, and playstyle (dex, faith, int, str, str/dex, str/int, str/fth, dex/fth, dex/int, dex/luck, etc) and just nothing seems fun.

If it wasn't for TRC I'd probably be playing Dark Souls 2 again. I want to fight Midir and Gael a couple more times and then I'm going to bench this game.

120 is still really tight for a lot of builds, casters especially. For pyros and dark sorcerers you need 40/40 in int faith to do worthwhile damage. Other casters need 60 in their respective stat for the same reason. After getting end to 20 and getting a decent amount of hp there's not many points left for str/dex/vit.

I think you console guys really think every PC player uses CE. But I will say what helps me kill her is just stick behind her and on her right side, hit only one or twice if you have a fast weapon and don't be greedy. She is a easy boss, and while I know it's frustrating to hear me say that she really is. 9/10 deaths are from being greedy.

You are probably hitting the right amount of poise to HA that kind of weapon attack with your weapon attack+armor at 100% poise but not at 80%
Think of poise like an invisible stamina bar.
The stamina bar is formed by your weapon type, your weapon attack + poise amor
It depletes when you take hit that deal poise damage.
Your bar refills with time and goes to 80% when you do something(swing your weapon). And refills to 100% When you activate WAs.
If your poise bar can't sustain HA at 80% against that enemy weapontyope swings, retreat and throw a WA to refill your poise to 100%

Are the painting "Followers" followers of the Sable Church of Londor?

The description of their armor states that they hunted the Farron Legion, or something like that, which we know travels to the places where the Abyss has spred to try to contain the contagion. it would make sense that the Sable Church and its followers would favor the spred of the Abyss.

If so what happened to Londor? Why did they follow Friede inside the painting when we know that Friede got kind of "excomunicated" and changed her purpose? Or maybe they were just Friede's followers and that's why they left Londor?

When you go through Dark Souls you feel like the world is just there. It's a real place that feels indifferent towards your presence and you're just supposed to buckle up and persevere through it. You're in a living breathing world doing your thing just like many of the NPCs. This level of immersion is rarely seen in games. Even in Souls games.
Dark Souls 3 completely fails to capture this and few hours into the game you start to realize that it's just a bullshit Reddit pandering meme theme park experience. The world does not feel alive at all. It feels like a stunt track built specifically for your character to mess around with and explore. Sure it's jam packed with fun minigame bullshit, references to the actual Souls game and other meme garbage but it has no "soul". It's trash.

I think the difficulty was adjusting to the slower gameplay than anything. So many times I'd dodge during an enemy wind up but they were still in wind up animation even after my 5th roll.

Where as in BB/DaS3 enemies don't usually have wind up animations, they just attack.

Well hey, that's your opinion. I played it after Demon's Souls and found the game to be easy enough. The only time I was stuck at a boss for more than a few tries was Manus.
All the places that people hype up: the Anor Londo archers, O&S, Blightown, Bed of Chaos, I didn't have a problem with for whatever reason.

I;ve hit a few people with it because they mashed R1 into by poisecast. It took about 900 damage from 4 R1s and dealt 300 damage alongside a knockdown so brief they recovered before I finished the animation and almost backstabbed me.

Also Divine Pillars has such a long cast time and such pitiful damage because they intended the player version to function like the winged knight version: eg track nearby targets and rain down around them instead of being a firestorm clone. They ran into problems because they couldn't port the NPC version's behaviour because that has infinite tracking range and would cause major bugs. As a bandaid, they just copied firestorm's projectile behaviour for the player version and left it like that.

There was a 'buff' a while back where they increased its damage slightly but not enough to matter and everyone was disappointed. In reality, they had balanced its original damage assuming the failed tracking bevaviour, and the 'buff' was just to bring its damage in line with firestorm because they had settled on just leaving it as a faith clone of firestorm.
