The role of light tanks that WG seems to push(spotting and under no circumstances anything but spotting), is not a role that is viable in the game as it is.

As it is now the team that gets a top tier light tank in their team instead of a medium or Heavy are at a disadvantage in all maps except maybe two or three.

You might not have been around at the time but they did the exact same thing to the VK28.01. It used to be tier 5 and they nerfed the hell out of it because it's matchmaking was reduced by one. But they also moved it up a tier. So it saw the exact same tanks it always saw but was now complete garbage. They have largely left it in this garbage state and made it worse because they nerfed the 105 derp HEAT shells and HE in general.

They weren't "top tier."
They were never "top tier."

They received BT9 MM. They were tier 8's that were effectively tier 9.
But they were still balanced according to specific tier 8 parameters, primarily in gun stats(caliber, accuracy, alpha, penetration).
Because they were technically still tier 8.

Except with the tier changes they basically upgunned them a little while also fucking them over on what was, originally, their niche.

This right here is how I know there's a programmatic russian and german bias.

If I'm in a german tank and I shoot while the reticle is still shrinking, even if an enemy tank fills it, my shot will go to the single pixel that isn't over the enemy tank.

Meanwhile when I drive my russian tanks, I can just take potshots and shots at long range with a huge reticle bloom and still land them reliably.

I always brawled with my tiger 1. Mind you this was before it got overhauled and the whole HD models so I don't know if it can still be an annoying fuck when side scraping. The real problem is that all the non premium tier 7 tanks are shit except the t29 and maybe the t20. The easiest solution is to ditch the retarded +/-2 mm and switch it to +/-1 as it should have been from the start. Its the same thing as tier 4 seeing tier 6 and tier 5 seeing tier 7. The power gap is huge in all values especially health and I know it exists solely to force grind. The only tier that could have that +/-2 is tier 8. But I know that won't happen because it forces grind and encourages paying to get to tier 10 on premium, premium tanks, and free xp. Yeah, it used to be worse but its not good enough in its current state. Especially when they do stupid shit like overbuff the maus and the type 4/5 heavies.

And maps won't get changed from dumb ass corridors because WG thinks its audience is too fucking retarded to handle anything more complicated, hence why every time you find a way to influence another corridor WG nerfs or removes it with a few shitty exceptions. And arty won't get removed because that would mean losing lines of potential profit and because fixing it by making the maps not shit so arty isn't needed would also require effort.
