A lot of people seem to have hated all the filler bullshit spent on Hitsugi, so I'm wondering how many feel episode 4 would've been better if they just cut her out completely and tweaked things like making the MC go undercover at the school and establishing pre-actual plot shit that way instead while keeping the general story the same. Feels like you could remove her entirely and still have the core of the story going.

Nah there was no saving it when they decided to start with the high school stuff, and even Earth in general. I like to ignore the story and pretend that Esca Falz Mother is just some random alien who needs to be eliminated by the ARKS fleet because it's dangerous, and is causing trouble around the moon. Likely gonna think in a similar fashion for Deus Esca. I do hope we move back to the series' sci-fi roots in EP5.

Going to agree with >>173755115 mostly. I believe the anime is to blame primarily for shoving us into this bullshit. This entire episode and the anime was about showing off new characters and the only thing that happened of importance was the Mother and Ardem thing, unfortunately they dragged their playerbase along for the ride and as many people have pointed out, this episode doesn't feel like your character is important at all and you're standing quietly in the background more than ever before while the "real MC" does things (except actually fighting outside of cutscenes)

That's something: Why are we hearing about Itsukis accomplishments in defeating a single Falz in the game/being "tested/informed" of this, but according to sources the anime never mentioned anything about the main character saving the fucking universe/defeating multiple Falz? Something that should have been brought up seeing as that's 3 episodes worth of content, why is it not even mentioned vaguely in a passing comment? That seems immensely belittling to what is actually PSO2, because it's not the fucking anime.
Seems like the game was being changed to support the anime, but the anime wanted very little to do with the actual game other than exclaiming "PLAY PSO2 TODAY!"

Then again I'm probably just autisming because we seem to care more about the games lore and direction than Sega does. Fuck high school animes and fuck the suits that decided on that shit.

Many users who do proper editing and adjustments to their content still face these copyright strikes but have a little protection from youtubes fair use policy.

Nintendo stands as the most aggressive of this where you may not show any footage relating to Mario games unless you are a verified partner with them where you must give 60%-70 of earnings directly to Nintendo.

TL;DR: Some Japanese videogame companies take down videogame videos in hopes of protecting their intellectual property and monetize other videos but kill off getting more exposure when the focus of the company in the first place was to gain revenue from this exposure in the first place.

Before I moved away from Ship 2 it was worse, but even on Ship 4 this has happened a few times... Why are players singling me out and sending pages and pages of whispers about how I don't deserve to be on the game at all because my DPS is the pits? Messages in English, mind you, as to this day not a single Japanese player has done this (bar the ONE who made a SUGGESTION that I not use Automate). I'm a tank. Every one of my characters, all four, are tanks in some fashion. They are all effective, thank you, at doing their JOB. Tower getting rushed down in a mining defense? War Cry. Party-wipe because we failed Mother's DPS check? Iron Will. Hail of bullets from an enemy AIS? Automate. And Flash Guards and Just Guards, Absorption, etc, etc. Katana Combat Escape on my BrHu. All the traps and grenades on my RaHu. Both my BrHu and my BoHu also have decent DPS while still being evasion-tanks who specialize in keeping aggro while moving around too much to be overwhelmed. The most boring one, and the most effective, and MOST CRITICIZED, is my HuFi, WHO EVEN HAS A CHAINSAWD AND HEAL SHARE!

Please! Help me understand! WHY do people go out of their way to spew hate and put me down as if I had no skill? I'm in the Expert Block with them, I beat Heaven and Hell 10F even WITH my crap DPS just because I LIVED long enough to win (never let anyone tell you daggers can't tank). I don't get it... Especially when most of the community, ENG and JPN, go for DPS, and at most we have just ONE support mage and ONE tank like myself at once......

95% of the time this happens because they don't like you to begin with and use the gaijin excuse to complain. I play my alt probably less than 5% of the time I'm on my main but this pretty much only happens to him since he looks obnoxious and is using a 13* from almost a year ago. On my main with good gear no one has ever said shit to me. If anything all the JPs that have interacted with me have been pretty kind and understanding. I've spoken to other people who shared similar sentiments. If you play a cute waifu with good gear the JPs will like you a lot more.
