if the AI were "good" by other AAA game standards, then you wouldn't even be able to draw them out one by one because they would communicate with eachother that something is wrong and that a player is attacking their number. Also they would follow you across the map once you aggro'd them unless you lost line of sight.

Right now they act like simple monsters from an old-school game (see player -> aggro), and there's nothing wrong with that IMO. They do give the AI some scripted behaviors like a hidden witch-lady trying to shove you off a cliff, or the way the giant sharks who protect the Rakuyo act depending on their HP

It's not even so much the damage as it is the poise-break. The L2 keeps bosses stun-locked by repeatedly breaking their limbs (if you have enough stamina to do it for more than a couple seconds.) And stun locking is the way to go when you're fighting bosses like HBLB or Laurence. You can keep them from attacking for like 60-70% of the fight

you should get 50 VIT for PVP if you want to not feel handicapped. Having that little bit of extra damage is cool and all but it's nowhere near as important as having high HP. Even with the Kos Parasite, the weapon at 99 ARC is not *that* much better than it is at 50 ARC

Tools scale well up to 99, but tools are shit for doing actual damage in PVP because they are way too slow and easy to dodge (only BSE is good). The gloves can be good for setting up other attacks though

What runes would you run though? 2 clock, 1 anticlock with 10 END is good enoigh for me. Altenatives include..

And thats really it. Replace the second clock with the special rune and you are done and dusted. And yes the Visceral runes do exist, but they are far too risky to be applied to any scenario when a flat buff is an alternative.
