Here are concept characters for an ero-platformer I have in mind. The overall plot is that each one of these characters want to travel the world in search for 9 elemental mcguffins in order to fulfill their ambitions. Orc and tentacle etc rape impedes their journey

First impressions:

But looking at the characters themselves:

First 6 are fine though I'd give projectile deflection to Air, not Earth. Projectiles should be an issue for Earth. Let them have ways of reducing damage from them but reflection is a no-no.

Aether and Dark are competing too hard for character design space and Aether is competing too hard with other styles for design space moveset-wise imo. Fuse Aethers attack style into other styles (electricity and metal/phys are likely the best canidates, give juggling move to electricity and incorporate the other combat moves into Metal, or something like that. Either fuse Aether and Dark's character together to make a new character for Dark or ditch the Aether Imp concept entirely. I'd personally just toss wings/tail/horns on the dark character and call it a day.

Metal/Phys is treading on all the other melee toes, especially Electricity. Removing Aether however should give enough design space moveset-wise to make it work.

Mana/Alchemy would be better off going in an "Engineer" direction to allow them to do more than fire different grenades. Make them the jack-of-all-trades I reckon.

An eroge where instead of four elements you have a monster girl for every single chemical element.

Yeah, but that's the thing, nobody though this was possible before, everybody was always stuck on the idea that monster girls mean catgirls, doggirls, elfs, dwarfs and that's pretty much it, the rest are just monsters. It was that dull in the past. If you search porn, you'll easily see that too. But after he started releasing more and more MGs, many people started to see the potential in going for more than just that. Again, in the past MG content was really fucking dull, and all of that changed after the many releases in the MGE.

But that's not all, after that Torotoro's team came and released MGQ, which showed that it's possible to have a good worldbuilding in which monster girls don't just exist in the outer world as enemy spawn, they can live in villages and have their own lives and complications. Same for a proper story too.

And last I want to congratulate is Okayado, which I want to say is the best at character design. The reason is that from all people that have made manga or anime about monster girls, he's the first one to make it believable that they can exist in real life. His manga always show that all monster girls have characteristics that makes them unable to do several things that humans can do easily, like Mia having problems with cold temperatures. Many just go the easy way and treat humans and MGs the same, which I'm sorry to say it's not.

There's a lot of wank here, but honestly, as one who likes MGs, I am satisfied with how things are right now.
