Hello, I posted about a story I wrote in the previous thread and got some feedback I've applied to it. Feel free to take a look, there's a new paragraph. It's the fifth snippet down.

Some of the criticism I received was that there's really no reason for A2 to think that YoRHa caused the death of all of the androids, or at least, no reason for them to actually be gone. The second chapter will propose a much more likely theory but I don't plan on explaining what really happened because it's not that important. Also people were wondering where the pods went, so I clarified that as well, but I don't know if you will like my answer.

No, 9S reconstructed his data via the machines but they then put it back into a normal YoRHa unit, just like after you die ingame and get a replacement body with your last save data. The beginning bits of Route C pretty much directly follow the post credits sequence of Route B; you can even hear the Pod tell 2B that she should go to her quarters to check her heavy armour gear for the coming mission, which is where we next see her in C: Putting on the heavy armour.

I'm an old school From Software fan (Armored Core) so I'm used to "managing expectations" when it comes to new releases. I definitely see the comparisons to Demon Souls though, what with both games being major studio productions (Sony and Square) developed by niche Japanese focused devs (From and Platinum) and drawing on mechanics and systems previous genres they developed in (Mech games and Hack and Slash). I played metal gear rising and it was nothing close to the level of depth in Automata.

Though I think that this game has way more ambition than demon's souls. It's the first time I've seen the level of gameplay integration and customization that From is known for applied by a different company. I'm only at the resistance camp and I can already tell that the gameplay framework (all the sub-systems, stats, customization, movesets, etc.) here is on another level compared to something like Demon's/Dark Souls or Armored Core.

The problem of N2 is that its a non sentient give mind incapable of invention or figuring out anything new, even Adam is a ripoff of either a human or maybe an android.

BTW the fact that they had EMP weapons but didnt use them and held the keys to back door shows direct cooperatin between N2 and androids

did you go into the water pipe in the pit? not the one that leads to flooded city, there's another one over to the left of it, around where the third speedstar quest's finishing line is. you have to go there after speaking to emil, then explore the area.

You need all the weapons to unlock the quest Emil's Determination, which leads to the 2nd and final emil fight.

You get ending Y by letting his self destruct timer run out instead of stopping him when the timer comes up near the end of the fight

The first time underground, no there's not, you can fight him anytime, including as a team in routes A or B.

The second time I believe has to be in Route C, so you can fight him as either 9S or A2. I recommend A2 as you get an extra bit of dialog.

I thought Adam always looked so much weirder than the other characters in expressions, and I now realize it's because he has much more prominent teeth compared to the others. Everyone else has that thing with anime characters where they rarely ever show the teeth when they're talking, but Adam talks a lot, and he always looks so toothy when he hams it up. It makes him stand out and seem kind of freakier.
