Both aggro and midrange are oppressive right now though. Midrange sacrifices some of its strength against Dragon for a better matchup against pretty much everything else. Except maybe Sword.

I started playing aggro Shadow in DE because it was cheaper. I built my way up to Midrange since they use many of the same cards (even now) and switched to that for a while before going back to aggro after finding it more effective. Yeah you die if you don't get your wincon in a timely fashion but that's just how aggro works in general.

Thats probably because it is very hard to fuck up such a simple deck. You play cost effective creatures, you have a wide ranging buff for them, and thats all you do. It works because it is simple, and at the end of the day, Shadowverse isn't a very complex game at all. Theres little player interaction, so you can simply get away with most things and smashing the opponents face in is always a valid tactic.

Subtract 1 from commanders in hand is literally nothing. Merlin does the same shit but she does it better because you can draw the card you need with Merlin. If you play Runecraft you would know how negligible Merlin subtract 1 cost effect is and people mostly use Merlin more so for solitaire. Not that anon but if you look at forests carpool they really have a hard time with strong boards, such as constant fatties and board swarms. Forest is complex as in every turn you have to make sure yoi can survive and not get baited into wasting your best removal. Sauce, I play every class and forest takes a lot of thinking when you dont have bane, or destroy all follower cards.

If you play that stupid variation then you pretty much don't do anything turn 1-2.
By the time I put pepe down I usually have a 2 attack quick blader/ninja and a 2 attack palace fencer down, more than enough to deal with any Rahab, but even if I don't have that I can just evolve white general and kill Rahab while buffing pepe, alternatively you can use Forge to buff pepe's atk and hp so he can trade with Rahab. And if I have a buffed pepe, then I can always just cyclone the Rahab

TL,DR: IF you can't deal with Rahab as frogrcraft, then you should fucking kill yourself
