Can someone explain how the Ringed Knight SS works?

it has like 400 normal damage + 20 fire in longsword form.

In it's WA it adds X damage, but it seems to consist entirely of fire damage as it takes MORE hits to kill something that in regular form. This seems really convoluted. I tried making sure I was hitting with the blade portion of the sword too in case something was screwy there, and it's still the same. Sometimes it takes 5-6 hits to kill something instead of 4 in the normal form. The WA does less damage because it is converted into entirely fire damage. Fromsoft makes weird decisions.

No, it scales off of STR, but for some dumbass reason it basically gains whatever magic buff you put on your right hand weapon. So you get 60 INT and use it to cast GMW or CMW on your main weapon and it basically doubles it's damage, it's weird but good.

This is what it looks like when you go full-on INT (60) with the hat and magic clutch ring instead of 66 STR with minimum (15) INT for GMW

That's why I spend time trying to min/max and optimize around different weapons to see if I can make them viable. You don't want fewer really good weapons you want more, i.e. "variety". I like trying to find how far I can push certain weapons like war banner, preacher's arm, and mad king crux. If you can find a way to make new weapons good or at least "good enough", then bam you have more variety.

People usually only say this about exile (which actually does do a fuckload of damage) and usually it's because they haven't seen ledo's hammer (which does more) or realized how short exile is compared to other CGS.

Also, CGS R1's were sped up a bit to make them slightly harder to parry. The running attack feels the same though.
