New player. Having a lot of fun using thrown together Monster and ST decks while referencing lists online. I think I've gotten pretty lucky with my kegs so far. How come sometimes I'm put against level 20+ even in casual?

Besides those guys, at my level the only matchup I'm a bit scared of are NRs that put down Yennifer: The Conjurer and Reinforced Trebuchets. I then feel pressured to pass early/not play cards then they gold everything up. What's the approach to them?

I think I reached the point where I have to start using my scraps instead of just depending on what I pull from kegs. My decision making is probably the biggest problem as I'm still learning.

Might be better if it was a ghoul synergy unit the way harpy eggs are. Spawn a corpse in the enemy melee row that drops the strength of all units by 1, ghouls can either eat something from the graveyard at random or the corpse for + something strength, and if the corpse is eaten the alghoul can spawn another.

I personally dusted Monsters (never really appealed to me). Spent it on whatever deck i was working towards at the time. If anything else, there are people who played it F2P and still gotten Rank 15. If you play your cards right, you'll win. Just don't play NG if you expect to rank up. Just take the time to do the math and you'll be solid.

Personally I spent like $20 because I enjoyed the game so much, and I wanted to play a different faction other than NG (I have all the cards once I dusted monsters at the time)

just threw this together based on decks I used to play several metas ago. Seems pretty decent after a few runs. Haven't tested heavily against ST though, my initial impression seems to be that it would be a bad idea, this whole deck screams scorch me bro but it has overpowered a mirror and NR effectively so far.

SK works if you get a good draw, your opponent is a moron, and nothing happens to your werebears or axemen.

When it works, it works, but it's extemely swingy and you need consistent wins to gain MMR. SK will either win big or lose big and has too many counters.

Yeah, this is the actual problem.

They complain about weather being "oppressive" and causing trouble for newbies and so nerf the shit out of it, but the real problem is that you have to play Casual until Level 10 in an environment where high-rank players are doing Casual to avoid losing MMR and newbies are getting sent against heavily built decks with the best of everything.

Trying to start now would just be fucking brutal. Nothing but ST ambush and weather SK as far as the eye can see.

I think the buffing is the major issue with ambush atm and removing that mostly solves the problem.
Having them become easily interactable(i think morenn is fine and a neutral card with the same ability would be fine too) or easily identifiable because they're not agile would not be a good solution.

I'm mostly relying on card advantage and stealing roach or scorch with griffin/ important resurrect cards with caretaker. Pushing the first round, carrying the stats over to the second round with ekkimara, playing ciri, ocvist and avalach to bleed them out of cards and then wrecking them in the third round.

What improvements can be made to this deck? I feel like speartip is weak, but he combines well with weather from dagon, so I can't think of a good replacement. Also 3 first lights are good, but there are some matches, when I've burned through my deck too quickly and the third one is useless.

Then play 3 nekkars too, you don't need 3 First Lights in that deck especially if you're playing Dagon(Ge'els is also good with this deck if you manage to get mass arachas out). I'd cut either Ciri or Igni, probably Igni because rarely does it ever get good value if your opponent plays around it and Ciri always gets value by pulling Roach and giving you possible card advantage.
